http://foodfreedom.wordpress.com/2010/04/24/s-510-is-hissing-in-the-grass/#more-1828

excerpt.

“If accepted [S 510] would preclude the public’s right to grow, own, trade, transport, share, feed and eat each and every food that nature makes. It will become the most offensive authority against the cultivation, trade and consumption of food and agricultural products of one’s choice. It will be unconstitutional and contrary to natural law or, if you like, the will of God.” ~Dr. Shiv Chopra, Canada Health whistleblower……

  1. If you want to get a really good view of the corruption of Monsanto and their attempt to control the food supply watch Food.INC available in NZ now on DVD.

  6. Im not a bible thumper but seems like the mark of the beast 666 is not too far off. Can not buy nor sell, because you will starve since you can’t grow your own food. No seeds to save till next season. All seeds grow only one season then farms have to buy more. A catch 22 no matter which way to look at it. Farmers are contracted for the government only and they decide who eats. We are all in big trouble. Sad part is NO ONE is willing to speak out. Explain to your hunger children one day that you were weak and afraid. Im sure that will fill their tummies.

  7. This bill (S510) if passed as is would be the most devastating news that would end our freedom here in good ol’ America . I already signed the petition to push back this bill through healthfreedom.org and notified my congressman Sen. Cain here in AZ. If every American could see the true real dangers that are being passed down on the small farmers and organic food industries, there would be enough voices to stop or alter this criminal bill. We can fight back this bill underneaththe legal terms and prove that the main source of food born illnesses and diseases starts in the large(corporate owned) Monsanto farms & then the huge factories where all the meat is on conveyor belts – assembly lines ..which leads to bottom line …PROFIT for the gov and corp entities , and snuff out and eventually rob the small farmers of any clean unadulterated food that would be left on EARTH! Thank you and let our voices be heard in Congress , please all spread the news!

  10. In times like this, we must remember that we cannot loose the ‘right’ to grow food. I think that the word ‘inalienable’ is appropriate. Now, should the individuals who wish to enforce this restriction of this most fundamental entitlement find a way to actually prevent people from growing food (as in not just the means, but if I live in a society that complies with this sort of thing) I must say, I wouldn’t stick around long. (beta blocker cocktail anyone?)

  11. They continue to try and push this through and while the exact bills that directly attack growing one’s own food gets shot down, others have succeeded. Fractions of this has passed, buried into other bills that were really unrelated except for long stretches like in the health care reform.

Sadly though I see them getting their way on this and all water rights. Already here in TN it is actually illegal for one to collect rain water with a water license, talk about weird. If they pass one of the bills (can’t remember which one), they would actually own the water running through my creeks here. That would equate to guess what… filling in the creeks. Icon_biggrin People will probably just let this slide as they do everything and dream that it will get voted out with the next president or next party to take power.
