Help save our native birds

2

A political party is in the process of being formed to  oppose the use of 1080 in NZ, due to this poison’s devastating effect on vulnerable native birds such as kea. Its website is  https://ban1080.co.nz/

The party needs a minimum number of members to be able to register in time for the election.  A membership form may be downloaded from the website.

More members are needed urgently to allow the party to be registered. Getting registered would see Ban1080 on every voting paper in NZ, plus an allocation of free TV advertising in election campaign.  Please visit the website now if you are interested.

  1. Our clean and green image , here in NZ , has already been destroyed. Most are just not aware of it yet because they are unaware and/or refuse to see the horrific results of the continued use of 1080. Shame on ” FOREST AND BIRD ” and shame on ” DOC ” and shame on most of our politicians who turn a blind eye. We can see the decline in our native birds here where we live rurally, year after year. The continued defense of the use of 1080 is insane and this is mostly about putting profits and money and greed ahead of the best interests of people, birds and the environment. SHAME ON ALL OF THOSE WHO CONTINUE TO DEFEND THE USE OF 1080.

  2. 1080 is an absolute curse, and its continuous use can only bring shame on New Zealand. Shame on DOC, the Department Of Conservation, for using this type of poison on living things, including our Earth Mother Papatuanuku. STOP USING 1080 NEW ZEALAND!. Our Maori people are known as the finest conservationists in the world, because we are ONE with Papatuanuku and all her progeny. Follow our example, and save all our indigenous species, by following and respecting Nature!
