The Democrats and the Left in the US will look to “absolutely destroy” President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett in the exact same way they destroyed Brett Kavanaugh, according to Sky News host James Morrow.
President Trump announced Justice Barrett as his nominee to replace deceased former associate justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg after she passed away two weeks ago after a long battle with cancer.
The President noted the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, describing the former Judge as a “true American legend” and a “legal giant”.
Mr Trump went on to introduce Ms Barrett saying, “today it is my honour to nominate one of our nation’s most brilliant and gifted legal minds to the supreme court”.
However, people have begun to ramp up the hate rhetoric against Trump’s nominee, specifically focussing on her conservative views, and her family. Justice Barrett has seven children, two of which were adopted from Haiti sparking some to label her and her husband “white colonisers”.
Mr Morrow said the Democrats will “not be able to resist over playing their hand” which will drive middle America into the president’s hands. “This should be the absolute American Dream. It’s everything that they (the Left) hate, this lovely happy successful interracial family,” he said. “They are going to try and destroy this woman and middle America is going to look at it and say ‘guys what is your problem’”.
Sky News host Rowan Dean said it is going to be a “Trump landslide because the average American looks at this stuff and thinks it’s horrific”.
