They’re out to get him. “If evidence is produced” she says. So…where is the evidence?
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) is doubling down on her calls for impeaching President Trump, tweeting Tuesday that it’s time to “get ready for impeachment.”
Waters has been pushing for Congress to quickly impeach Trump if evidence is produced proving collusion with the Russian government.
“The only thing that I am focused on is credible investigations to bring out the facts. … If the facts are there, then I think we should move very quickly to do something about it. And if there was collusion, and any support for undermining our democracy, I think the president should be impeached,” Waters said earlier this month.
“I’ve said that, and that’s where I stand.”
U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded that Russian hackers interfered in last year’s elections for the express purpose of helping Trump win, and both the Senate and House Intelligence committees are investigating the nature and extent of the intrusion.
Numerous reports have emerged linking members of Trump’s inner circle directly to Kremlin officials. The White House has fervently maintained that those communications were innocuous, and no evidence has surfaced of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
“I didn’t like that it happened, but it did — and you’ve got to move on,” said Jerry Leist, a retired farmer in the area, of Gen. Michael Flynn’s abrupt Monday night resignation. “Am I concerned about it? Not nearly as concerned as I am about other things — jobs, immigration, other things. That’s way above Russia, which will always be a problem.”
Joyce Tatro-Manes, a middle school math teacher who backed Trump in November, told NBC News on Tuesday that her hopes for Trump’s presidency had not changed since the Flynn story broke. However, she said she worries that Trump “is not going to be able to do all these great things that he promised if he’s mired in controversy.”
Many residents of Circleville, with its population of 13,000, found hope in a jobs agenda that Trump promised would lift up hurting rural and industrial towns like theirs. Four years ago, Mitt Romney won this county — Pickaway County — by 19 percentage points. Trump beat out Democrat Hillary Clinton by 42 percent.
Over the past few days, a number of the president’s supporters told NBC News that they remain confident that he will deliver on the campaign promise that earned their vote, echoing a sentiment that prevailed among his voters during Trump’s tumultuous campaign,
“I think that when Donald Trump said he was going to bring more jobs, people genuinely believed him — because he really does usually do what he says,” Tatro-Manes said this weekend from the sideline of her third-grade daughter’s basketball game at Circleville’s elementary school. She calls herself a lifelong Democrat and is the daughter of union members.
“To vote Republican in an election like this was a huge deal for me,” she added.
“You couldn’t believe it?” she said, turning to her husband, Dan Manes. He, with an acknowledging grin and shoulder shrug, replied: “I couldn’t believe it.”
Manufacturing in Circleville has been on the decline for years. General Electric is moving forward with plans to close its plant this summer. When the Thomson Electric factory shuttered in 2004, it not only affected Pickaway County, but workers from eleven other central and southern rural Ohio counties. And the DuPont chemical plant, another longtime fixture here, is down to just 450 full-time employees, leaving the parking lot on the edge of the city now just halfway full.
Today, the largest employer is the county hospital.
“We do need more industry, more business that can help the people that live in this area. They need to be able to have a living wage,” said Donna Butterfield, who retired from that DuPont plant after 30 years. She now works at Wittich’s Candy Shop, where she noted that other younger employees cannot make ends meet purely from the shop’s hourly pay.
“Most of the small businesses around here pay minimum wage. You can’t pay rent, you can’t pay your utilities on that low income,” Butterfield said. Like others, Butterfield lamented the decrease in well-paying, blue-collar jobs that once fueled the city and made it an attractive place to reside.
Just 15 percent of Circleville’s residents hold a college degree — half of the national average.
This is why a new tissue plant is the talk of the county this winter.
The Italian company Sofidel will soon hire 300 workers in what will be the county’s first new plant since the 1980s. Employees who will fill the jobs on the floor are expected to earn $13, $14 or $15 an hour, a sturdy, living wage income for the county.
But the tissue plant is just a start in making up for what else community members openly fear is a decline in this still-charming town. Drugs have penetrated families. Homeowners bemoan the rise in rental properties. And the closed movie theaters are remembered fondly as sources of community entertainment.
Among the voters here, there are those like Leist, whose Sunday school class at Circleville’s Community United Methodist Church turned into a conversation centered on members’ reasoning for backing the real estate mogul, who say Trump is “saying what I’d like to say to most politicians.”
“We’ve never had the chance to say anything or do anything,” he added.
For Leist and other voters like him, Trump represented a megaphone for their grievances and concerns about the fate of their community.
“My vote was not cast without prayer,” said Linda Kennedy, who attends the same Sunday school class. “It’s pretty hard to vote for someone who had said the kinds of things he had said in the campaign about people to people and not think that basically God could just strike me down for it — because he was horrible.”
Kennedy noted that she had yet to tell anyone outside of her immediate family who she voted for in November.
She picked Trump, she said, because of the “idea of needing some change.”
In January 1961, Dwight Eisenhower delivered his farewell address after serving two terms as U.S. president; the five-star general chose to warn Americans of this specific threat to democracy: “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.” That warning was issued prior to the decadelong escalation of the Vietnam War, three more decades of Cold War mania, and the post-9/11 era, all of which radically expanded that unelected faction’s power even further.
This is the faction that is now engaged in open warfare against the duly elected and already widely disliked president-elect, Donald Trump. They are using classic Cold War dirty tactics and the defining ingredients of what has until recently been denounced as “Fake News.”
Their most valuable instrument is the U.S. media, much of which reflexively reveres, serves, believes, and sides with hidden intelligence officials. And Democrats, still reeling from their unexpected and traumatic election loss, as well as a systemic collapse of their party, seemingly divorced further and further from reason with each passing day, are willing — eager — to embrace any claim, cheer any tactic, align with any villain, regardless of how unsupported, tawdry, and damaging those behaviors might be.
The serious dangers posed by a Trump presidency are numerous and manifest. There is a wide array of legitimate and effective tactics for combating those threats: from bipartisan congressional coalitions and constitutional legal challenges to citizen uprisings and sustained and aggressive civil disobedience. All of those strategies have periodically proven themselves effective in times of political crisis or authoritarian overreach.
But cheering for the CIA and its shadowy allies to unilaterally subvert the U.S. election and impose its own policy dictates on the elected president is both warped and self-destructive. Empowering the very entities that have produced the most shameful atrocities and systemic deceit over the last six decades is desperation of the worst kind. Demanding that evidence-free, anonymous assertions be instantly venerated as Truth — despite emanating from the very precincts designed to propagandize and lie — is an assault on journalism, democracy, and basic human rationality. And casually branding domestic adversaries who refuse to go along as traitors and disloyal foreign operatives is morally bankrupt and certain to backfire on those doing it.
Beyond all that, there is no bigger favor that Trump opponents can do for him than attacking him with such lowly, shabby, obvious shams, recruiting large media outlets to lead the way. When it comes time to expose actual Trump corruption and criminality, who is going to believe the people and institutions who have demonstrated they are willing to endorse any assertions no matter how factually baseless, who deploy any journalistic tactic no matter how unreliable and removed from basic means of ensuring accuracy?
All of these toxic ingredients were on full display yesterday as the Deep State unleashed its tawdriest and most aggressive assault yet on Trump: vesting credibility in and then causing the public disclosure of a completely unvetted and unverified document, compiled by a paid, anonymous operative while he was working for both GOP and Democratic opponents of Trump, accusing Trump of a wide range of crimes, corrupt acts, and salacious private conduct. The reaction to all of this illustrates that while the Trump presidency poses grave dangers, so, too, do those who are increasingly unhinged in their flailing, slapdash, and destructive attempts to undermine it.
For months, the CIA, with unprecedented clarity, overtly threw its weight behind Hillary Clinton’s candidacy and sought to defeat Donald Trump. In August, former acting CIA Director Michael Morell announced his endorsement of Clinton in the New York Times and claimed that “Mr. Putin had recruited Mr. Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation.” The CIA and NSA director under George W. Bush, Gen. Michael Hayden, also endorsed Clinton and went to the Washington Post to warn, in the week before the election, that “Donald Trump really does sound a lot like Vladimir Putin,” adding that Trump is “the useful fool, some naif, manipulated by Moscow, secretly held in contempt, but whose blind support is happily accepted and exploited.”
It is not hard to understand why the CIA preferred Clinton over Trump. Clinton was critical of Obama for restraining the CIA’s proxy war in Syria and was eager to expand that war, while Trump denounced it. Clinton clearly wanted a harder line than Obama took against the CIA’s long-standing foes in Moscow, while Trump wanted improved relations and greater cooperation. In general, Clinton defended and intended to extend the decadeslong international military order on which the CIA and Pentagon’s preeminence depends, while Trump — through a still-uncertain mix of instability and extremist conviction — posed a threat to it.
Whatever one’s views are on those debates, it is the democratic framework — the presidential election, the confirmation process, congressional leaders, judicial proceedings, citizen activism and protest, civil disobedience — that should determine how they are resolved. All of those policy disputes were debated out in the open; the public heard them; and Trump won. Nobody should crave the rule of Deep State overlords.
Yet craving Deep State rule is exactly what prominent Democratic operatives and media figures are doing. Any doubt about that is now dispelled. Just last week, Chuck Schumer issued a warning to Trump, telling Rachel Maddow that Trump was being “really dumb” by challenging the unelected intelligence community because of all the ways they possess to destroy those who dare to stand up to them:
And last night, many Democrats openly embraced and celebrated what was, so plainly, an attempt by the Deep State to sabotage an elected official who had defied it: ironically, its own form of blackmail.
Back in October, a political operative and former employee of the British intelligence agency MI6 was being paid by Democrats to dig up dirt on Trump (before that, he was paid by anti-Trump Republicans). He tried to convince countless media outlets to publish a long memo he had written filled with explosive accusations about Trump’s treason, business corruption, and sexual escapades, with the overarching theme that Trump was in servitude to Moscow because they were blackmailing and bribing him.
Despite how many had it, no media outlets published it. That was because these were anonymous claims unaccompanied by any evidence at all, and even in this more permissive new media environment, nobody was willing to be journalistically associated with it. As the New York Times’ Executive Editor Dean Baquet put it last night, he would not publish these “totally unsubstantiated” allegations because “we, like others, investigated the allegations and haven’t corroborated them, and we felt we’re not in the business of publishing things we can’t stand by.”
The closest this operative got to success was convincing Mother Jones’s David Corn to publish an October 31 article reporting that “a former senior intelligence officer for a Western country” claims that “he provided the [FBI] with memos, based on his recent interactions with Russian sources, contending the Russian government has for years tried to co-opt and assist Trump.”
But because this was just an anonymous claim unaccompanied by any evidence or any specifics (which Corn withheld), it made very little impact. All of that changed yesterday. Why?
What changed was the intelligence community’s resolution to cause this all to become public and to be viewed as credible. In December, John McCain provided a copy of this report to the FBI and demanded they take it seriously.
At some point last week, the chiefs of the intelligence agencies decided to declare that this ex-British intelligence operative was “credible” enough that his allegations warranted briefing both Trump and Obama about them, thus stamping some sort of vague, indirect, and deniable official approval on these accusations. Someone — by all appearances, numerous officials — then went to CNN to tell the network they had done this, causing CNN to go on air and, in the gravest of tones, announce the “Breaking News” that “the nation’s top intelligence officials” briefed Obama and Trump that Russia had compiled information that “compromised President-elect Trump.”
CNN refused to specify what these allegations were on the ground that it could not “verify” them. But with this document in the hands of multiple media outlets, it was only a matter of time — a small amount of time — before someone would step up and publish the whole thing. BuzzFeed quickly obliged, airing all of the unvetted, anonymous claims about Trump.
Its editor-in-chief, Ben Smith, published a memo explaining that decision, saying that — although there was “serious reason to doubt the allegations” — BuzzFeed in general “errs on the side of publication” and “Americans can make up their own minds about the allegations.” Publishing this document predictably produced massive traffic (and thus profit) for the site, with millions of people viewing the article and presumably reading the “dossier”.
There is now a highly coordinated conspiracy afoot to take down President-elect Donald Trump.
This deliberate scheme to execute a soft coup has been orchestrated at the highest levels of the Obama Administration, Democratic and Republican National Committees, as well as the major intelligence agencies and special secret services.
The essence of their scheme is to fabricate the appearance of collusion between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. They especially strive to put out fraudulent and contrived evidence that Putin possesses salacious material on Trump that is substantive enough that it can be used to blackmail him. Wait, it gets worse … or, rather, this CIA implementation plan will continue to evolve so that the US Congress is forced to take unprecedented action.
___________________________________________________ Special Note:
What follows is just one example of how much Donald J. Trump is upsetting the NWO apple cart. Robert Kennedy Jr. agrees to ‘chair a commission on vaccination safety and scientific integrity’ for Trump It ought to be obvious by this critical appointment that Trump is willing to take on a central pillar of the NWO social engineering agenda. In fact the super-vaccination agenda is as BIG as it gets in terms of controlling the entire human population. RFK Jr. is well known among health advocates to be a zealous truth seeker regarding the inherent dangers of vaccines, and especially of the overly aggressive vaccination regimens that young children are now exposed to. The bottom line concerning this extraordinary appointment by Trump is that he is showing a courageous willingness to go after one of their sacred cows. You don’t ever go after their sacred cows and expect to succeed given the current institutional arrangements which make up the Global Control Matrix. Big Pharma is an extremely powerful corporate NWO player that has always gotten their way, so they will NOT play nice. A soft coup was initiated on the very same day!
The Last Peaceful Overthrow Attempt Before The Putsch
The final push to revoke the results of the 2016 presidential election has begun in earnest.
With the publication of more fake news about Trump’s hidden relationship with Russia, the Mainstream Media (MSM) has been enlisted by the CIA to disseminate completely fictitious accounts to undermine his victory.
That the MSM was so easily conscripted to report such patently false information is beyond comprehension. They have taken the extremely reckless initiative to distribute obvious falsehoods about Trump’s non-existent relationship with President Vladimir Putin and the Russian Federation.
The very dissemination of such dangerous fake news, in this particular context, constitutes high treason, corporate sponsored sedition among a number of other very serious felonies. Not only have the MSM traitors acted against the American Republic, they have betrayed the U.S. citizenry in ways that require their criminal prosecution. The whole array of MSM organs of propaganda may have just sealed their fate—perhaps a total takeover of the MSM by the appropriate presidential oversight commission.
That many of the major MSM news outlets have trumpeted these false claims against Trump could only have occurred with the blessing of the Obama Administration. Obama himself has politicized the outcome of this election which clearly indicates that he has no intention of leaving. His many unprecedented disruptions to a smooth transition are so reprehensible and feckless that he will surely be called to account when this ongoing coup has been short-circuited.
From now until Inauguration Day
Make no mistake about it: from now until Inauguration Day will be the most dangerous times for Donald Trump and his transition team. The very future of the United States of America now hangs in the balance as never before. Hence, it is imperative that every American citizen stays vigilant and does what the Turks recently did to avert the CIA-directed coup against President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his government.
The people went out in the streets and shut that violent US-coordinated coup down in an Ankara minute. That’s where we are at this very moment; for if the soft coup is not successful for the traitors, they will not stop until they have violently removed Donald Trump from the picture.
Now that so many agencies of the U.S. Federal Government have graphically exposed themselves, there is no going back for them. The culpability of the C.I.A. and other intelligence agencies etc. is so obvious for the whole world to see, that they have no choice but to be successful however they must; otherwise, many will face the gallows for high treason.
Herein lies the real challenge for the American people: to terminate this coup-in-progress once and for all before it terminates any semblance of the American Republic.
What are you, American citizens, going to do?
There can be only one reason for the fake dossier that was fabricated by rogue elements within the U.S. intelligence community. To use it as a pretext to delegitimize the presidency of Donald Trump by traitors within the Obama Administration and DNC, as well as rogue intelligence agencies.
That this unvetted fraud was then quickly disseminated throughout the global MSM provides further evidence of a highly organized coup against the president-elect. Because the inauguration is only 9 days away, look for many other desperate attempts to bring down Trump before he even steps in the Oval Office.
The Company, also known as the C.I.A., has had more experience than any other US agency in conducting color revolutions across the planet. However, the agents of the C.I.A. really work for Deep State not We the People. Therefore, if not very watchful, the American people will get to experience a Purple Revolution in their own back yard.
The plot thickens! This is amazing, a lot to be said for media taking sides.
Have you ever heard of this person? This is Edward “Ed” Mezvinsky, born January 17, 1937.You’ll probably say (as I did), “Who the hell is Ed Mezvinsky?”He is a former US Democrat congressman who represented Iowa’s 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 1973 to 1977.He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon. He was outspoken saying that Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to politics and the nation and should be impeached. He and the Clintons were close friends and very politically intertwined for many years.Ed Mezvinsky had an affair with NBC News reporter Marjorie Sue Margolies and later married her after his wife divorced him.In 1993, the new wife Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky left NBC and became an elected Democrat member in the US Congress. She cast the deciding vote that got President Bill Clinton’s controversial tax package through the House of Representatives. In March 2001, Ed Mezvinsky was indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud. He embezzled more than $10 million dollars from people via both a Ponzi scheme and the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams. He was found guilty and sentenced to 7 years in federal prison. After serving less than four years, he was released in April 2008 and remains on federal probation. To this day, he still owes $9.4 million in court ordered (but unpaid) restitution to his victims.About now you are saying, “So what?”Well, this is Marc and Chelsea Mezvinsky.
That’s right; Marc is Ed Mezvinsky son and he’s now Chelsea Clinton’s father-in law. Marc and Chelsea are in their early thirties and purchased a $10.5 million NYC apartment (after being married in George Soros’ mansion). Marc, has just lost 90% of the funds in the hedge fund he manages. It has been alleged that he skimmed off the last $50 mil and shut it down returning around 10 cents in the dollar to investors. Investigations have begun. Has anyone heard mention of any of this in any of the media? If this guy was Jenna or Barbara Bush’s, or better yet, Sarah Palin’s daughter’s father-in- law – or Donald Trump’s family –
the news would be an everyday headline and every detail would be extravagantly reported. And yet, many say there are no double standards in political reporting in today’s media. And there is already talk amongst the US political elite about the next in the Clinton dynasty – Chelsea – as a future President! Chelsea Clinton earned $600,000 a year when working for NBC and now works for the Clinton Foundation and sits on quite a few boards.
Her annual earnings are now suggested at $1.7 m. The cycle never ends. Lying and corruption seem to make some candidates more popular.
