PROTEST TO STOP THE JAPANESE KILLING NZ HUMPBACKS THIS SUMMER

An action group WHALE ACTION AOTEAROA ~ WAA, was formed in Kaitaia two weeks ago and is spreading down the country. The first action will be a protest beginning at 12pm on Monday November 19th outside the Japanese Consulate next to the Auckland Sky Tower.

This year for the first time since whaling ceased in NZ and Australia nearly forty years ago, the Japanese have stated that they intend to take 50 humpbacks along with nearly 1000 Minkies and 10 endangered Fin Whales.

Humpbacks are also endangered and only just beginning to make a comeback.
