Evolve or die: Can we shed our moral primitivism before it’s too late?

Jon,

I recently interviewed renegade UTEP philosophy professor, Steve Best, a vehement anti-capitalist and key intellectual player in the animal liberation movement who is heading the way of Ward Churchill. What emerged was a comprehensive and brilliant deconstruction of our current system and a compelling argument that we must replace it in order to fulfill a powerful moral imperative and to enable life on Earth to continue.

I am offering this nonpariel, deeply persuasive and eye-opening piece to you for publication.

This is how it appears on Thomas Paine’s Corner:

Since the article is long and loaded with eye-catching graphics, you may want to run a portion of it with a link to the full essay on Thomas Paine’s Corner.

Jason
