Murdoch’s “The Sun” Hacked by LulzSec, Email Archive to Be Released

The hacker group LulzSec hacked into the website of Murdoch paper The Sunyesterday, replacing the homepage with a false obituary reading “Media moguls [sic] body discovered,” along with a fake report that he ingested palladium before “stumbling into his famous topiary garden.” They were purported to have disbanded weeks ago, but sure enough, their Twitter feed was updated shortly after the hack: “The Sun’s homepage now redirects to the Murdoch death story on the recently-owned New Times website. Can you spell success, gentlemen?” Simultaneously, they directed the News International page to their Twitter account.
