Doomsday Cometh, Ye End is Nigh…Again. Maybe.

It seems that every year, there’s handwringing about some impending catastrophe or other. After hearing it for 52 years, as the author has, one tends to get a bit blasé. But sooner or later something’s going to get us! But what, and when?

End is nigh doomsday
Doomsday: “The End Is Nigh”!

Sometimes the warning comes from an “alternative’ minority. Sometimes from concerned academics. Either way, the list of scenarios by which we all come to a rapid and messy end is long. Off the top of my head, the list includes:

Comets, asteroids, solar flares, earth crust displacement, geological poleshift, geomagnetic pole reversal, Nibiru (rogue planet), CERN-generated Black Hole, planetary alignments, nuclear Armageddon, the Biblical “Rapture”, global cooling, global warming, pandemics/plagues, Mayan Calendar-Cycles and human-induced Climate Change catastrophe.

It is the last item on this list (Human-induced Climate Change) that currently concerns most of us, regardless of whether we are skeptical to a greater or lesser degree, or full-blown believers. In fact, I doubt there has ever been a catastrophe, real or imagined, that has permeated human consciousness so totally and for such an extended period of time. We’ve covered the reasons behind this, and associated agendas and political motives in other articles.

This week, appropriately enough for the specifics of this article, New Zealand has received two “Fossil Of the Year” awards from the UN for perceived insufficient action to meet it’s “Climate Emergency” objectives. It is the word “Fossil” that gets my attention, as the fossil record is a series of snapshots of moments in time. Successive catastrophes that have beset our planet at intervals across the millennia. Extinction Level Events.

Also recently in New Zealand, a harbinger of impending doom made a visit, in the form of Professor Guy McPherson.

Even in an era where “Climate Change” has morphed into the more emotive term “Climate Emergency”, McPherson is an extremist. His message is essentially that the human race has less than a decade left. Our impending fate is absolutely sealed, to the point where action is pointless: There is nothing can be done, so don’t bother trying. The very antithesis of the Agenda 2030 sustainability “save-the planet” message.

The retired professor who thinks we’re all going to die

Take a look at the list of potential catastrophe scenarios above. Many (obviously not all!) of these potential disasters have been proven, very graphically and undeniably, to have already occurred in past ages. Most recently, the rapid demise of the mammoths, sabre-toothed lions and all their Ice-Age kin following an asteroid collision in Greenland at the end of the Younger Dryas period.

So recent is this catastrophe that it recalled in myth and legend and religious lore worldwide. Greek philosopher Plato wrote of the destruction “in a single day and night” of a mighty civilization which he called Atlantis. The time in which this disaster is said to have occurred correlates with the Younger Dryas extinction event surprisingly well.

While humanity witnessed and survived the Younger Dryas Event, far larger catastrophes have occurred long before (at least according to mainstream science) mammals replaced reptiles as the dominant life form.

Here’s a list of “The Big Five” ELE’s:

End Ordovician, 444 million years ago, 86% of species lost

Late Devonian, 375 million years ago, 75% of species lost

End Permian, 251 million years ago, 96% of species lost

End Triassic, 200 million years ago, 80% of species lost

End Cretaceous, 66 million years ago, 76% of all species lost

The point is that regardless of what part humans may play in the changing environment of the Earth, and regardless of political agendas, these extinction events have undeniably happened and will continue to happen, with or without our influence.

And while natural events can be notoriously difficult to predict, we are more or less due Event Number Six.

Rather than a slow and steady process of evolution, it seems that life emerges phoenix-like from the ashes of a former world to adapt and diversify, only to be wiped out again after a few million years. Is it our turn now?

There is certainly good reason to suspect that the Elite crowd have preparing for something big, for quite some time. Certain areas of the world (including NZ) seem to be magnets for the building of self-sustaining homes underground bunkers, and ‘bolt-holes” for the rich and famous. There is circumstantial evidence of underground tunneling in the US; strange booms and shakes, mysterious construction projects; the Walmart closure mystery and so-on.

Combine this with the Seed bank in Greenland and the Elite fascination with visiting Antarctica and you’ve got to, at the very least, have a suspicion that contingencies for a potential catastrophe bigger than anything in prior human experience, are being instigated.

And yet, if our civilization is truly doomed, and that catastrophe is inevitable, then why bother with the whole 2030 Agenda pantomime? perhaps the whole “let’s all get along, lets make do with less” indoctrination is for the survivors? A docile, post-catastrophe worker-class.

Eloi and Morlocks

One is reminded of the Morlocks and Eloi of HG Well’s classic story, The Time Machine. In that story, however, the docile, vegan surface-dwellers weren’t the workers. The troglodyte Morlocks did all the work. The Eloi were essentially cattle: A food source for the carnivorous Morlocks.

Are we on the verge of an extinction-level event? One that no United Nations initiative, Climate Change panel or Extinction Rebellion protest can do a damn thing about?

Extinction rebellion: Can we protest inevitability?

Based on the geological record, a global natural catastrophe seems inevitable. Could Professor McPherson be more than just another doomsday scenario-peddling fearmonger?

I guess ten years from now, we’ll find if he was right or not!

  1. All the evidence points to climate hoax:
It’s a phony emergency as pretext for ushering in the sinister socialist NWO shackling humanity with debt to the ultra rich elite… self made “gods” like Soros as they seize world domination… all in our own best interests of course

    Reality is CO₂ + =

    1. Yup. That sums it up. Of course the climate is always changing, sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly. But “emergency”? As this brief item illustrates, sooner or later the “Socialism disguised as Environmentalism” brigade are going to get a taste of a REAL planetary emergency that has nothing to do with CO2 or humanity.
Consider the article above as an introduction to a full blog currently in progress.
