WHAT’S BEHIND THE SCARY NEWS FROM INDIA ? MUST READ!

Last night I left the news on to see how the events in India were being reported, and we were shown images of funeral pyres and Indian people needing oxygen tanks. I checked the images with Alt News, an Indian non-profit fact checking website.

By Jo Blogs, Red Sky in the Morning

The image of the funeral pyres was from January 25, 2012, by Krishna Kumar.

Old image of burning pyres shared amid rising COVID deaths in India.

I wonder if the oxygen tanks are old footage too. An old woman sitting on the road next to an oxygen tank was from a report by India Times published on April 7, 2018. The report is credited to ANI. According to the report, the woman was waiting for an ambulance within the premises of Agra Medical College. An oxygen mask was put on her while her son carried the oxygen cylinder on his shoulder.

Photo of elderly woman sitting on road with oxygen cylinder was taken before pandemic.

Alt News had earlier debunked an image of a man carrying an oxygen cylinder and his COVID positive mother on a motorcycle. The image was from Bangladesh.

Footage of dead Indian people in the streets was from 11 months ago when a gas leak at an LG plant put hundreds in hospital. The old footage of dead people on the street was exposed by this video: Short Video on India Situation: What does the Current Data Say? It’s 9.08 minutes and I recommend watching it.

The Indian Farmers protests of 2020-2021

Have you heard about the Indian Farmer’s protest of 2020-2021? I was made dimly aware of it in early December 2020, when 1,500 Indian New Zealanders protested in Auckland’s Aotea Square against the new agricultural laws.

It hasn’t been reported widely in our media.

The Indian government perhaps thought it could slip the bills through amid the COVID chaos (India had just surpassed Brazil in COVID cases that month), but the bills’ passage sparked a widespread outcry, as farmers decried the deepening of neoliberal reforms in the agricultural sector. Protests spread across the country but were strongest in Punjab and Haryana, wealthy northern states that were once ground zero for India’s Green Revolution. Protest leaders generally came from rich peasant backgrounds, though the demonstrations garnered broad, cross-class support from those in the agricultural sector.

JACOBIN: “THIS IS A REVOLUTION, SIR”

In response, the Indian government ramped up Covid testing of the farmers.

Apprehensive of getting tested, SKM leader Dr Darshal Pal said protesting farmers had no symptoms, so the question getting tested should not arise.
Gurnam Singh Charuni, BKU (Charuni) chief, was also against testing.
Covid is a farce. Testing protesting farmers under the pretext of Covid is a ploy to wind up the protest. The Centre wants to malign the protest in the same manner it maligned the Tablighi Jamaat last year,” he said.

THE TRIBUNE: PROTESTING FARMERS OPPOSED TO COVID TEST, BUT OPEN TO VACCINATION

Just as Bill Gates has been behind the vaccine push, he has also been involved in the agribusiness reforms. Another entity not reported on is ‘Gates Ag One.” (Perhaps we should call it ‘Gag’ for short.) It was being set up by the Gates Foundation in January 2020. It aims to speed up efforts to provide smallholder farmers in developing countries, the many of whom are women, with access to the affordable tools and innovations they need to sustainably improve crop productivity and adapt to the effects of ‘climate change.’

India’s new agricultural laws were passed later the same year, in September 2020.

It works right in with Agenda 2030 sustainable development goal 2, Zero Hunger. Here are the targets under that goal: Index by SDGs 169 targets

Note particularly goal 2.a:

2.a Increase investment, including through enhanced international cooperation, in rural infrastructure, agricultural research and extension services, technology development and plant and livestock gene banks in order to enhance agricultural productive capacity in developing countries, in particular least developed countries.

What does this mean for the Indian farmer? What are they protesting?

Dr. Vandana Shiva, founder and president of Navdanya, explained to RT during a recent interview that globalist power players are working overtime to replace India’s unaffiliated network of small-scale family farmers with a large chemical agriculture system, similar to the one that exists in the United States.

“India overwhelmed by world’s worst Covid crisis” proclaims the media. What’s behind the scary news? Gates AG One? Agenda 2030? The Indian Farmers strike should be a huge news story. Given that we haven’t heard much about that, but suddenly we’re inundated with news of India’s Covid crisis, can we trust what we’re seeing on TV or the websites of the main stream news media ?

The Indian Farmers Revolt: A Story of Courage and Love

While most people would say the biggest story in the world right now is the Covid crisis, another huge but less well-known story is also happening. This is the amazing story of the Indian farmers’ revolt happening near New Delhi since last March.

In this week’s podcast, I interview Indra Singh, who is chronicling the heart-warming, inspirational story of how the farmers in India are rising up against corporate and government oppression. It is a story of courage and love and an inspiration about the road to a future we all need to create. Please don’t miss this conversation; it will bring tears to your eyes and give you hope that we, the people, are far from defeated.
