(CNN) A powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake Sunday in the Iraqi city of Halabja, close to the Iraq-Iran border, killed scores of people in Iran, Iranian officials said.
State-run Press TV reported at least 130 people were killed in Iran, citing the deputy governor of Kermanshah province, Mojtaba Nikkerdar. Citing the head of Iran’s emergency services, Iran’s semi-official news agency Fars News said at least 1,000 people were injured in the quake.

Four people died in eastern Iraq and dozens were wounded in the town of Darbandikhan, Iraq, Omar Ahmad, the governor of Sulaimaniya, told CNN.
The temblor, centered about 350 kilometers (217 miles) north of Baghdad, was felt throughout Iraq, according the US Geological Survey. The quake crushed buildings in Darbandikhan, according to video from AFP.

Mexico Earthquake Latest: And Was It Natural or Triggered?

The massive earthquake that hit Mexico late on September 7, killing close to 60 people, is the biggest in the region in almost a century. Seismologists now say the magnitude 8.1 quake was so large it moved the fault up by 32 feet, as the Cocos and North American tectonic plates collided.

The epicenter of the earthquake was off the coast of Mexico and Guatemala, 54 miles southwest of Pijijiapan. It struck at a depth of 69.7 kilometers (43.3 miles), data from the U.S. Geological Survey showed. Initially, a tsunami warning was issued, with waves up to 10 feet high, but this has since been lifted.

Mexico declares three days of mourning after deadly earthquake

President Enrique Peña Nieto says government will help with reconstruction after most powerful quake in a century

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/sep/09/mexico-declares-three-days-of-mourning-after-deadly-earthquake

Was it natural or triggered? If so, then what was the motivation?

Already I’m seeing the buzzword “Resilient” (that has been hammered to death here in quake ravaged Christchurch) being used in relation to Mexico.

Check out this, and the date: 6th September 2016 One Year ago almost to the day!

https://www.100resilientcities.org/cities/mexico-city/

Here’s another telltale link, this time 2030 Agenda features; MUST READ! Shades of Christchurch!

http://reliefweb.int/report/world/mexico-meeting-bring-world-togeth…

“Two years have passed quickly since the adoption of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction kicked off one of the most ambitious projects in the history of the United Nations: the all-encompassing 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The 2030 Agenda is designed to pull the planet back from the brink. Catastrophe awaits us if we do not wean ourselves off fossil fuels and plan for population growth in a manner which avoids creating exposure to natural and man-made hazards.”

“….Bearing in mind that the worst disasters that could happen have not happened yet, Cancun must become a turning point. The world must scale up action to the level required to build resilience in a century that will test us on the disaster front as never before.”

Sounds like an informed prediction does it not?

Christmas Quake For Southern Chile

Chile earthquake tsunami warning lifted

A tsunami alert issued after a powerful 7.6-magnitude earthquake off the coast of southern Chile has now been lifted.

The quake struck at 14:22 GMT on the island of Chiloe, about 40km (25 miles) south-west of Quellon, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

No casualties have been reported. Some 4,000 people were evacuated.

It hit an area of Chile known for tourism. Some roads and bridges were affected but damage appeared to be limited.

The quake’s depth was about 34km, according to the USGS.

Chile’s national emergency services office had initially issued an alert and ordered the evacuation of coastal areas of Los Lagos region.

Residents of Quellon were among those who headed to safe areas ahead of the tsunami warning being lifted.

“I’ve lived for 10 years in the south and never felt something like that,” a resident who was leaving his house said.

Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet tweeted: “Much strength and encouragement to the compatriots affected by the tremor in Chile and other areas in the south. Emergency procedures are already in place.”

USGS: “Early 20th Century Earthquakes May Have Been Man Made.

Release Date: NOVEMBER 1, 2016

A new study from the USGS suggests that some early 20th century earthquakes in southern California might have been induced (man-made) by past practices that were used by the oil and gas industry.

A new study from the USGS suggests that some early 20th century earthquakes in southern California might have been induced (man-made) by past practices that were used by the oil and gas industry.

In the new study, scientists evaluated the likely cause of several significant earthquakes within the Los Angeles Basin between 1900 and 1933, together with consideration of available oil industry records over this period.

They found that several damaging earthquakes, including a 1929 event near Whittier, California (estimated magnitude 5) and the 1933 Long Beach earthquake (magnitude 6.4) might have been induced by oil and/or gas production during the early decades of the Los Angeles-area oil boom. During the early decades of the oil boom, withdrawal of oil was not balanced by injection of fluids, in some cases leading to dramatic ground subsidence, and potentially perturbing the sub-surface stress field on nearby faults.

In the middle of the 20th century, so-called water-flooding techniques were increasingly employed to compensate for oil withdrawal and to increase production of fields that were becoming depleted. Because industry practices have changed, the results of this study do not necessarily imply a high likelihood of induced earthquakes at the present time.

“It has been widely assumed that induced earthquakes do not contribute significantly to hazard in regions west of the Rocky Mountains, but our research suggests that damaging induced earthquakes might have occurred in the past, ” said Susan Hough, USGS seismologist. “Our study further suggests that the rate of natural tectonic earthquakes in the Los Angeles basin for this time period might have been lower than previously estimated.”

Earthquake rates have increased sharply in recent years in some parts of the United States, including in Oklahoma, where earthquakes were formerly infrequent. Extensive past research has supported the conclusion that much of this increase is due to disposal of wastewater into deep geologic formations.

The study, “Potentially induced earthquakes during the early 20th century in the Los Angeles Basin,” was published Nov. 1 in the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America.

Kaikoura Quake: “A Trillion To One”

Image result for kaikoura earthquake photosSite Icon -Small

From Jeffrey ‘Goober’ Wefferson, via Rose at theCONtrail.com:

Here’s the audio from Jeff’s blog:

The odds are a trillion to one that the recent…and on-going…Kaikoura quakes on New Zealand’s south island…were not natural, but the result of scientifically premeditated geo-physical warfare, the main-stay of the global war-machine (or should I say ‘defense industry’?)’s ‘revolution in military affairs.’
Sure, sure…earthquakes DO happen naturally. New Zealand is bisected by a major fault line and Kaikoura is right on it. And the moon wasn’t only full, it was a SUPER MOON! To say that this was done on purpose by people is no more than some of that conspiracy theory, many will say.
Well, to those, all I can say is ‘Go and pop another beer and watch some footie…and be sure not to look at any FAKE NEWS OK?’ Leave the critical thinking to those who don’t have brain damage! Are you sure the quakes weren’t caused by ‘climate change’???
Astronomer Carl Sagan observed that “We live in a society exquisitely dependent on science and technology, in which hardly anyone knows anything about science and technology.” That the military in general has developed what most would consider to be ‘science fiction’ level weapons systems is a testament to Sagan’s critique, as is his untimely death from leukemia contracted from his 100+ personal demonstrations against nuclear weapons at the Nevada Test Site.

These quakes, however, didn’t surprise me in the least. I never ventured a ‘formal prediction’ but the possibility did cross my mind a number of time as I have been monitoring the naval ‘war game’ Exercise Mahi Tangaroa happening this week in two Auckland harbours, as well as providing in-depth coverage of the recent RIMPAC naval war-games in Hawai’i which killed an enormous amount of marine life and helped to destroy the coral reefs with high-powered microwave transmissions coupled with electromagnetic ‘pollution’ from weaponized systems that ‘protect’ ship hulls from corrosion. Marine biologist Terry Lilley and chemical engineer Stewart Simonson have made enormous contributions to our understanding of this covert environmental warfare, even greater burdens on the health of Mother Ocean and her family of life.
another quake just hit Blenheim – still quaking https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us10007eq8#executive
Trails are insane here on the other coast.

Earthquakes: Natural or Manmade?

From New Dawn Magazine

By Jason Jeffrey

Precautions against unconventional arms must be intensified as potential terrorists develop chemical and biological weapons and electromagnetic methods that could create holes in the ozone layer or trigger earthquakes or volcanoes.
Former US Secretary of Defense William Cohen speaking at the University of Georgia, 1997

The devastating tsunami created December 26, 2004 by a magnitude 9.0 earthquake that killed more than 300,000 people on the shores of the Indian Ocean caught the world off guard. It was the largest earthquake since the 9.2 magnitude Good Friday Earthquake off Alaska in 1964, and ties for fourth largest since 1900.

The earthquake that struck the Indonesian island of Sumatra occurred in a location geologists know is susceptible to powerful earthquakes. The quake occurred along a “subduction zone,” in which the Indian tectonic plate is being subducted, or pulled beneath, the Burma tectonic platelet. The overlying plate jumped upward more than 4.5 metres, lifting the water above it and setting off the tsunami.

For some, the finger of blame doesn’t point squarely at nature but at top secret military testing in the waters of the Indian Ocean.

The Egyptian weekly magazine Al-Osboa claimed the earthquake that triggered the tsunami “was possibly” caused by an Indian nuclear experiment in which “Israeli and American nuclear experts participated”.

An Australian researcher, Joe Vialls,1 in his article “Did New York Orchestrate The Asian Tsunami?” analyses how easy it would be to deliver “a multi-megaton thermonuclear weapon to the bottom of the Sumatran Trench, and then detonate it with awesome effect.”

Days after the disaster, Canadian Professor Michel Chossudovsky wrote an article titled “Foreknowledge of A Natural Disaster: Washington was aware that a deadly Tidal Wave was building up in the Indian Ocean”.2 He noted “the US Navy was fully aware of the deadly tidal wave, because the Navy was on the Pacific Warning Centre’s list of contacts. Moreover, America’s strategic Naval base on the island of Diego Garcia had also been notified. Although directly in the path of the tidal wave, the Diego Garcia military base reported ‘no damage’.”

“With modern communications, the information of an impending disaster could have been sent around the world in a matter of minutes, by email, by telephone, by fax, not to mention by live satellite television,” he adds.

Others see the catastrophe as a ‘sign of the times’ in which we live, and a portent of what is to come as the Earth and humanity experience even more changes as part of the end of a world cycle.
