The fact is Merck are taking a proverbial bath on the Vioxx scandal, which may be why they fast tracked the dodgy and dangerous Gardasil vaccine and got the NZ government to fund it with taxpayer money. This story from The Australian is the tip of the iceberg. And about 23 girls have already died from Gardasil already, with hundreds more injured.
Merck worked overtime to get Gardasil accepted as quickly as possible in as many countries as possible to get gullible governmental agencies to pay for the millions of dollars in damages Merck are having to pay for the thousands of unnecessary deaths due to Vioxx. Now the company will have to work overtime to pay for the legal costs for the Gardasil fiasco.
