NOTE: This story, despite only just coming to my attention, is a year old now, and I’ve been unable to find any update on the outcome. I do hope Tanner and his family found a successful resolution and nine-year-old Tanner made it to ten and beyond. Martin

9-Year-Old Boy Denied Life-Saving Transplant over Vax Status – Slay News
“A nine-year-old Ohio boy’s life is now hanging in the balance after doctors denied his kidney transplant because the organ donor, the child’s father, isn’t vaccinated for Covid.
Tanner Donaldson desperately needs a life-saving transplant after being diagnosed with stage 4 chronic kidney disease. The young boy was born with a rare birth defect causing irreversible kidney damage. Thankfully, Tanner’s father, Dane Donaldson, is a suitable live kidney donor and has offered up his own vital organ to save his son’s life.
However, Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital has refused to conduct the transplant surgery because Dane is not vaccinated against the coronavirus. The hospital has a policy that requires all organ donors to be fully vaccinated to minimize complications during and after surgery.
Dane questioned the hospital’s hypocrisy, pointing out that deceased organ donors are not required to be vaccinated.”
A hospital that is not staffed by the spawn of Satan is being sought to perform the operation.

Cleveland Clinic is actually an anomaly. Nationally, most transplant communities don’t require the vaccine, largely due to its early, emergency use rollout. The FDA has since fully approved Pfizer and Moderna’s shots for adults, but not for kids under 16.
“It seems that the majority or a lot of transplant professionals actually don’t think the evidence-based arguments to justify the COVID vaccine mandate are actually strong enough,” Kaldjian said
A nationwide survey of 141 transplant centers found that a majority — 60% — don’t require the COVID-19 vaccine.
