Directed Energy Weapons? Do not roll your eyes and click away before you’ve evaluated the evidence.
Everything else follows the same plot as the Maui fires, right down to the Build Back Better disaster-capitalism disguised as socialist utopian rebuild fantasies. And the miserable token gesture compensation offered to victims from a president who pours billions into his son’s business ties in Ukraine while warning about concentration of wealth.
Yes, there was incompetence and mismanagement, with lack of resources and claims that DEI led to poor staffing choices. yes, the fires are an annual event. Yes, there was a “perfect storm” of wind conditions.
BUT, as with many other recent large-scale disasters, it would appear that someone piggy-backed off nature and just gave things a little nudge.
