Minister wants public submissions on Telecom’s plan

Communications Minister David Cunliffe is calling for public submissions on Telecom’s amended separation plan.

“This is a matter of great significance to the telecommunications industry,” he said.

“It is appropriate that I seek their views on the changes Telecom has made before making my decision whether to accept this plan.”

Mr Cunliffe said the process of separating Telecom was on track, but given the scale of the amendments he believed further public consultation was needed.
