Pakistanis protest NATO airstrike

Thousands of Pakistanis have gathered outside the US consulate in Karachi to protest against a recent NATO attack which has left at least 28 soldiers dead.

On Sunday, angry demonstrators chanted anti-US slogans against the deadly cross-border airstrike on two military checkpoints in the country’s troubled northwest, Reuters reported.

At least 15 others were injured during the Saturday attack in the Baizai area of Mohmand Agency.

Pakistani officials have condemned the strike, calling it a direct assault against the country’s sovereignty.
