Turns out that Fonterra has been collecting milk in Taranaki from farms that are disposal sites for contaminated waste from oil and gas industry, including fracking chemicals. The waste is spread out and covered, then cows are grazed on it. This is incredibly stupid and irresponsible. Stupid because the whole brand is built on clean green and safe, and irresponsible because parents feed their kids the infant formula made from this milk. It also points to the short sightedness of those who want to have a radical and largely unregulated expansion ofthe oil industry.

Steerable Hurricanes?
Yet another example of mega corporations acting solely on greed and profit and defending their ways while
cows and people and other alive critters in the eco-system are hurt and chemically poisoned. Great job Fonterra, you are on a roll with the likes of Monsanto; Nestle and Anadarko and our very own National led government etc. Good company as birds of a feather flock together. BUT ! ! ! THE ANTI – FRACKING MOVEMENT IS GROWING WORLDWIDE AND WE CAN FEEL GOOD ABOUT PEOPLE WAKING UP MORE AND EXPOSING THEIR LIES; GREED; INSENSITIVITY; INSANITY AND PLAIN MEAN SPIRITEDNESS.
The amount of toxic liquid injected into the well is in millions of litres. We’ll end up with polluted water throughout fracking and storage areas just like USA, UK and Australia – unless we stop it.
Also, Fonterra, you’ve got a damned cheek taking 16% of milk’s protein to sell to body builders. You really suck.
