“MAY THE BALANCE OF DARK AND LIGHT
HELP US TO DISCERN WRONG FROM RIGHT
MAY THE SHIFT OF NIGHT AND DAY
HELP US TO FIND OUR WAY…
TO RENAVIGATE POLARITY’S GRIP
TO SAVE AT LAST OUR SINKING SHIP
MAPS FROM TERRITORIES: THE DIFFERENCE TO KNOW
SEEDS OF LOVE TO NOURISH, GROW”
WOW! I’ve been in la-la land too long eh? It sounds good on paper but that’s probably about as far as it goes…I haven’t totally given up on ‘humanity’…yet…but getting there! I try to ‘keep the faith’ and hope for the best for ‘my’ species but as each day goes by I am confronted by the ‘vast contradictions’ spoken of by Adlai Stevenson in his legendary ‘Spaceship Earth’ quote from 1964:
“We travel together, passengers on a little spaceship, dependent upon its vulnerable reserves of air and soil, all committed for our safety to its security and peace; preserved from annihilation only by the care, the work, and, I will say, the love we give our fragile craft. We cannot maintain it half fortunate, half miserable, half confident, half despairing, half slave to the ancient enemies of man, half free in a liberation of resources undreamed of until this day. No craft, no crew can travel safely with such vast contradictions. On their resolution depends the survival of us all.”
Every moment in time is equally sacred, really, as if ‘moments’ actually existed…time, space and reality are all continuous seamless wholes that our minds like to divide up into bits and pieces: seconds, minutes, hours, days, years, degrees, numbers, quantities, distances, words, lines and angles…
But perceived ‘moments’ like equinoxes and solstices are ‘moments’ only in an abstract and ephemeral way but they do have astronomical significance, which to me is extremely important, because the astronomical perspective truly helps us to appreciate our cosmic context. I won’t say ‘understand’ or ‘comprehend’ but to be aware of.
ART FOR CONSCIOUSNESS TRANSFORMATION
http://renavigating-the-human-process.blogspot.co.nz/2012/05/art-for-consciousness-transformation.html
Yesterday, the spring or vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere, and the autumnal equinox in the southern hemisphere, the sun crossed the meridian and we had equal amounts of day and night.
These diagrams from Earthsky.org show the various geometrical relationships that define the cycles of equinoxes and solstices.
Plus, the moon was new only a couple days before the equinox, which adds to the ‘sacredness’ of the ‘moment’.
But this ‘sacred moment in time’ became a day of paradox. What follows detracted from the ‘sacredness’ of the day and emphasized the ‘vast contradictions’ that Adlai Stevenson so keenly recognized.
First, I got involved in a ‘discussion’ with a self-proclaimed ‘dolphin advocate’ whose name I won’t mention. Over the months we’d been in touch I observed that she seemed to place at least as much importance on her eye-shadow and lip gloss as she did on her knowledge of dolphins, and even though she loves (or purports to, but I don’t know if she’s a vegan or even vegetarian) animals, she seemed not only ignorant of but indeed in denial of the real global threats to cetaceans and marine life that I go to such great lengths to learn about and share with the world. I was embarrassed for her when I saw a fake ‘Time Magazine’ cover she made with her photo and all these ‘article titles’…it was quite narcissistic and absurd to say the least.
But what really blew me away was when she was touting her meeting with a well-known (in military and academic circles) oceanographic researcher named Walter Munk.
THE ‘EDWARD TELLER OF THE OCEAN’
I could write a whole article on this person, who la-la landers think of as the ‘Einstein of the oceans’ but who is really much closer to being an ‘Edward Teller of the oceans.’ Einstein was a theoretical scientist who worked with equations and thought experiments; Teller, known as the ‘father of the hydrogen bomb’, was an advocate not only of using nuclear explosions to blast out harbours, but also of the dissemination of aerosolized particulates into the atmosphere, which is what thechem-trails of today are. Teller was also the inspiration for Kubrick’s film Dr. Strangelove (Or How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb).
Munk, who is now 100 (that’s Earth years, not kilograms, centimeters or watts), has not only worked at but been a central pillar of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography in La Jolla, California, for over 50 years. He is a geo-physicist by profession, and has been instrumental in leading edge research into the dynamics of ocean currents, tides, the properties of sound in water, as well as orbital mechanical aspects of the Earth-moon system. He was one of the master-minds of Project Mohole, which was an aborted attempt to drill all the way down into the Earth’s mantle in the 1960’s, as well as of ATOC, or Acoustic Thermometry of Ocean Climate, which involved transmitting high power levels of sound great distances through the ocean, which many perceived as direct threats to marine life.
The New York Times calls him the ‘Einstein of the oceans’ but this is quite Orwellian, except in the sense that it was in fact Einsteins’ work that laid the foundation for the atomic bomb.

CV FOR WALTER MUNK
https://6b6cb.https.cdn.softlayer.net/2017/11/pop_CraGeo_en_100121_FINAL.pdf
Unlike Einstein, Munk has been a willing innovator for military purposes all along. His accomplishments read like a Cold War glory extravaganza: the leading edge of science to ‘fight the evil enemy.’ Without going into greater detail, let me just reiterate that the Scripps Institute is a wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S. Navy, and that everything they do and have ever done is first and foremost for the benefit of this gargantuan organization, who is by far the single greatest threat to life in the ocean that exists on Mother Earth…despite their PR propaganda on being ‘environmental stewards.’
Further, Munk was a member of the originally top-secret JASON group, an enclave of top scientists recruited into a kind of science-fiction think tank whose purpose was to come up with the most exotic, esoteric and advanced weapons systems within the realm of human possibility. To this day we don’t know about most of what they came up with. For all I know, D.A.R.P.A. is one of their brain-children.
But what really scared me about Munk was that he co-authored at least one book with, and was clearly very close to, Gordon J.F. MacDonald, another UCLA geo-physicist who was not only LBJ’s top science advisor, but also a fellow JASON groupie; perhaps THE original visionary of geo-physical warfare; mentor of Zbigniew Brzezinski, whose last role was as Obama’s top national security advisor and under whose tenure we experienced the advent of full-spectrum weather and tectonic warfare; and, most terrifyingly, author of a treatise called ‘How to Wreck the Environment’ that was published in a book called Unless Peace Comes, edited by Nigel Calder in 1968, which was a look into the future of weapons systems.
‘HOW TO WRECK THE ENVIRONMENT’
https://coto2.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/1968-macdonald-how-to-wreck-the-planet.pdf
“Among future means of obtaining national objectives by force, one possibility hinges on man’s ability to control and manipulate the environment of his planet. When achieved, this power over his environment will provide man with a new force capable of doing great and indiscriminate damage. Our present primitive understanding of deliberate environmental change makes it difficult to imagine a world in which geophysical warfare is practiced. Such a world might be one in which nuclear weapons were effectively banned and the weapons of mass destruction were those of environmental catastrophe. Alternatively, I can envisage a world of nuclear stability resulting from parity in such weapons, rendered unstable by the development by one nation of an advanced technology capable of modifying the Earth’s environment. Or geophysical weapons may be part of each nation’s armoury. As I will argue, these weapons are peculiarly suited for covert or secret wars.”
MacDonald’s article reads like a very precise blueprint for what we are witnessing in the world of today. Munk would have been an integral part of all this work, his specialty being undersea warfare. His research would have laid the foundation for a ‘militarized ocean’, a lot of the greatest threats to marine life that humanity is inflicting.
And this ‘dolphin advocate’ was glorifying him as someone who loves dolphins. Pardon me…but WTF???
As one would expect from these ‘landers’ as I call them, cognitive dissonance is anathema and at the first hint of reading the words of someone whose thinking is a little more expansive than their marketing categories, they like to cut you off, or ‘block’ and ‘unfriend’ you if this is happening on ye olde Facebook.
Enough on this person. But within five minutes of this happening, I checked my email only to see a message from a woman here on the Big Island who I had met a few weeks ago. She knows I am involved with the whales and dolphins. Apparently she listens to the live feed from a hydrophone network operated by the Jupiter Foundation.
Apparently the ‘live whales’ thing is just a PR ‘public service’ that they offer, as the majority of their projects and contracts are with the Department of Defense.
My friend said that she listens to this live whale stream for hours every day and has been doing so for months. Yesterday was a radical change, as she began to hear what sounded like massive explosions around 1:30pm local time, which is when she first contacted me. I turned on the feed and even with computer speakers could make out some explosion-like sounds.
SINGING OR CRYING?
The more troubling aspect was that she said that normally she would be able to hear heaps of whale sounds and songs, but that yesterday they were few and far between, and that the ones she could hear were sad and distressed, as if they were crying.
I ran all this by my friend Douglas Webster, long-time cetacean lover and activist here. He had told me last week that he’d been seeing a lot of military aircraft coming up the west coast of the island headed towards Maui.
Today my friend sent me this email:
“Hi Jeff. Douglas responded to my Dolphin Podners email and has been listening to the live stream (which was left on overnight but was just taken down (10:45am)) with his best audio headphones and did hear quite an array of booming noises. He also is aware of many more potential sources of it and potential acoustic dynamics than I. All and all, we really don’t have a way to get more information to clarify anything. Yesterday I’d been meditating and sensitizing myself and was hearing lots of nuances in all those sounds, and still, swear I was hearing underwater explosions. Up till the stream being turned off a few minutes ago, same thing was going on. Dolphins and whales very faint and far away. Few whales. Not energetic uplifted sounding vocalizations, no focused group singing. Nothing to do for now. Send them all love out there, and indeed, the whole planet as we travel through this tumultuous time of consequences. A hui ho, Jeff.”
Sure, a lot of ‘landers’ here might offer that the explosions were only the sounds of Pleiadean craft coming and going through their various portals and vortices…or maybe vapourizing some Grays or reptilians. But I think ye not…
So now, not unexpectedly, the live stream has been taken down as the powers that be would have gotten wind that we were picking up military detonations or other forms of weapons testing. None of this is unexpected, in the context of the metastasizing militarization of the Hawai’ian islands and with the RIMPAC 2018 naval ‘war games’ coming up in June = a holocaust for all marine life in this whole area.
