..NOT!
Peterson recently visited our shores. This video from Peterson’s channel illustrates the very limp and misinformed opposition he faced!

A couple of days ago (Feb 12, 2019) a group calling itself the Auckland Peace Action, objecting to my slated arrival in New Zealand in a couple of days (www.jordanbpeterson.com/events/) for my 12 Rules for Life Tour, produced a “press release” claiming that “Jordan Peterson Threatens Everything of Value in Our Society.” I thought that was a bit of an overstatement and so, apparently, did journalist Sean Plunket of New Zealand’s Magic Talk (http://bit.ly/2SSWHyb), who interviewed the writer/spokesperson for the Auckland Peace Action group, Iris Krzyzosiak . I think it is rather charitable to describe the results as distinctly unhelpful for the Peace Action group. In this video compilation, I read part of the original press release, then present Sean’s interview with Ms. Kryzosiak, so you can make up your own minds about the opinions of her group, and follow that with an extended interview, with an audience Q and A that I conducted with Sean a day later.
My view of Peterson is that he is very much traditionalist, insisting that women be feminine and focus on the home and raising good Christian babies, while male people would be expected to “man up” to their duties and responsibilities.
He bases a lot of this on Biblical “Adam and Eve” stuff which I consider to be superstition and not science.
OTOH the ridiculous rant from a Stuff reporter is beyond a pale.

Not quite so Angelica
Peterson believes everyone, regardless of race, creed, colour, sexual identity or orientation, deserves equal opportunities and equal rewards. What he is opposed to is the current discrimination which works by the mentality: “there aren’t enough women in our business, therefore we must start recruiting more females to balance the quota” (even if that means turning down a better qualified male candidate). It has been observed that males and females, generally, will gravitates towards certain jobs and roles naturally when given complete freedom and equal opportunity. Males tend to gravitate towards working with “things” (building, engineering etc) while women will gravitate towards “people oriented” roles (customer service, nursing/healthcare etc).
This is because…shock, horror!..men and women are different. If a woman wants an engineering job and is the best qualified candidate, then she should get the job and get the same pay a male would for the same role. Not many women, however, apply for engineering jobs even when the opportunity is given. This has been the subject of scientific study, is proven by hard data, and is a long way from “Adam and Eve” superstition.
Peterson represents conservatism, common sense, and logic. Love and compassion and traditional values. That’s why the Left hate him.
