A few days ago this author wrote a personal reactionary piece on the mosque shootings with a follow-up naming the victims whose lives were cut short.
The author made a couple of statements that he still stands by. “Here I remain”. and when faced with the aftermath of evil acts I shall shed my tears as any empathic human being should, then pick myself up and get on with the job. I also promised not to display gruesome imagery, show any disrespect to the victims, nor give any sensationalist publicity to the killer. I shall not do so.
Over the past few days, however, I have watched in revulsion as supposed human beings have continued to share the “live stream” and feed The Beast that thrives on these things. To them I say:
How would you feel if it were your family being slaughtered and the images spread around the internet for entertainment? Hang your heads in shame.
I have also seen some items from the Alt Media that are dreadfully misinformed and weave facts with speculations without discrimination. I will not give them space here.
There have, however, been a number of very relevant questions asked and points raised, and over the past few days I have been quietly mulling these over, and attempting to make sense of these elements in the context of events in Christchurch over the past few years (and globally, for that matter), and in doing so, try to find some logical, coherent answers.
If you came here expecting religious or cultural bigotry, or a tirade of hatred, you will not find it. Nor will you find ill-conceived or hastily concocted “conclusions”.
The Mainstream Media reports the murderer as a Right Wing extremist. Which seems logical enough. Some Alt. Media sources claim otherwise. Even suggesting the opposite, or that the killer is a blend of far Right and far Left. What are we to make of such claims?
Let’s see if we can make some sense of all this.

You might like to reconsider your avowed support for Vinny Eastwood I see elsewhere on your site – I just had the most unpleasant experience watching him laughingly admit online that he downloaded, watched and shared the mosque attack video – he is also spreading the most egregiously deluded and reprehensible lies about what actually happened.
Your commitment to the truth starts with that action.

I have made my disapproval of Eastwood’s behavior and approach to the current events in Christchurch well known via other channels I am involved with.
I have personally never had contact with the guy, and he is not directly involved with Uncensored currently.As you can see his material is not currently published here so I have no input or control over his content. That’s his business.
I suggest if you personally have issues with Vinnie Eastwood you contact him and let your disapproval be known.

I’ve checked through our past material and associations with Vinnie and have no issue with his previous content and contributions.
I think the lesson here is to separate the doer from the deed. We all mistakes or act in ways we later regret. I repeat that I think personally that Eastwood’s treatment of recent events was handled poorly. BUT: Thank God we live in a country where we can still voice our opinions, views and ideas openly (personal attacks, bigotry and bullying aside). I’m sure no one wants NZ to be heading down the path of a totalitarian police state, do we?
Yes we certainly need answers and truth, is this similar to the Port Arthur Tasmania, tradgety, my deepest sympathy to all concerned.

The search for answers (the kind of answers Mainstream Media won’t give) will take patience and diligence. Right now I’m assembling material and drafting text. Thanks for your condolences; as a city still climbing from the devastation of the earthquakes, this horror has been extremely traumatic for an already psychologically fragile community. They can use the “resilient” buzzword all they like, we are still only human.
