There is a deep contrast between what’s happening in Hong Kong and the growing Extinction Rebellion protest movement. The former fights for democracy, the latter fights to subvert it.

First, there’s the Hong Kong situation:
What would you do if a credible and immediate threat to your freedom was looming? Hopefully you’d fight tooth and nail like the brave citizens of Hong Kong. Months have passed and there’s no sign of the protests waning. Despite Carrie Lam’s latest draconian ban on face masks (so the facial rec cameras can identify the activists),protestors turned up with their faces covered as usual, potentially facing a year in jail plus hefty fines. But it beats being extradited to the mainland and used as a handy source of body organs.
These activists are fighting against the New World Order. Mass surveillance, detention centers, religious and cultural persecution, death sentences carried out by “transplant to order” body organ extraction, Social Credit judging/rating systems. All your dystopian nightmares are a terrifying reality that Hong Kong is fighting against, and that Mainland China is living with.
The activists are well organized, their goals and objectives are clear, and wet weather, water cannons, teargas and even real bullets have not deterred them.
They aren’t fighting some idealistic crusade for an ill-defined cause, they are fighting for their very lives.
And then we have The Extinction Rebellion:
David Icke recently noted that Climate Change is the new religion. Like all religions, it is based on faith rather than scientific objectivity. I agree wholeheartedly. And Extinction Rebellion are the zealots, the Holy Warriors, the Jihadists, of this religion. Many a cult over the years has been founded on an illusory threat of The End Of The World As We Know It. Not one of them has ever had it’s doomsday prophecies fulfilled, but many gullible and brainwashed adherents of these dangerous cults have handed over their money and all their wordly possessions, and gulped down the poisoned Kool-Aid.
The scary thing about the Climate Change Cult is that it is only different from the previous cults in that it is being given “star treatment” by the Mainstream Media. The same media that has reported grimly on Heaven’s Gate and The People’s Temple, among many others, is now promoting an agenda based on faith and smoke -and -mirrors, pseudo-scientific quackery.
We are seeing children suffering “climate anxiety” and psychologists suggesting to them that the remedy is “take action” and join the climate strikes. Truly, the lunatics are now running the asylum. Recently I had first hand experience with this “climate anxiety”. The author’s daughter came home from school upset because the polar Bears are dying and it’s OUR fault. I asked her how she knew this. “my teachers told me so”. Well, I suggested, why not look it up yourself, do some research, and see if your teachers are right or not? My daughter came back a short while later looking much relieved (as I knew she would), as Polar Bears, Walruses, and other Arctic fauna are thriving nicely. Needless to say my three youngsters aren’t inclined to wag school to strike against the climate.
The Extinction Rebellion takes Climate activism well beyond skipping school or work and making placards and banners. Two of their number thought it would be a good idea to graffiti the windows of the local shopping mall here in New Brighton. A blockade in the UK robbed a man of the last precious moments with his dying father. Yup, that’ll help the cause. Not.
And what is “the cause”?
Now, I’m all for clean energy, and reducing environmental pollution (CO2 isn’t a pollutant though), and I’ve signed innumerable petitions and taken active participation in, among other things, Fracking and 5G protests. But these have been far removed from the Extinction Rebellion and Climate Change movement agenda. What exactly are they protesting? The climate? The System? Both?
Unlike the Hong Kong protestors, the aims and demands aren’t exactly clear. In fact the word “murky” springs to mind.
Apparently, The End Is Nigh. Again.
Yup, the author has a long list of end-times dates that have passed without incident. 1999 (Nostradamus), 1/1/2000 (Millenium Bug), 5/5/2000 (planetary alignment) 2012 (Mayan calendar cycle) 2012 , The Comet Kahoutek, Nemesis, Comet Elenin, and numerous close approaches of Nibiru have all amounted to nothing. Yes, there HAVE been many tremendous, world-changing catastrophes in the past and there is no doubt that an asteroid, comet, or a monstrous solar flare will get us eventually, and there HAVE been mass extinction events at fairly regular intervals in Earth’s history. While we were only around to witness one of these events (the Younger Dryas Event) we were certainly not in any position to have been in any way responsible. And they certainly don’t happen in accordance with a United Nations schedule!
If these Mass Extinction Events are as cyclic and regular (-ish) as current scientific findings indicate, then we are certainly due for one. But, I’m afraid, going “on strike”, blocking train tracks and roads, gluing one’s hands to shop windows etc, won’t stop the magnetosphere from weakening, end the Grand Solar Minimum, or halt the gradual average global temperature rise and increasing CO2 levels. (the latter due to the fact that we are still emerging from the Little Ice Age).
So what are these guys rebelling against exactly? Geology? Space Weather? Actually, they are rebelling against “the system”. You know. The same system that gives the freedom to protest.
What do they want to replace it with? A system that doesn’t condone protest. A system that curtails freedom. The very same system, in fact, that the Hong Kong activists are fighting with their very lives to prevent. Socialism based on the Chinese model.
Yes the same China that has, since 2006, spewed out more CO2 than any other nation on Earth. How bloody ironic.
All these protests do, in fact, is cause a nuisance. I doubt many of the participants have done much objective research nor questioned the motives of the United Nations and their globalist propaganda disguised as environmentalism.
Strange how the latest “End of the World As We Know It” date (2030) nicely coincides with the planned inauguration of the Socialist (ie Communist) New world Order, is it not?
Yes, somethings never change.
The End Is Nigh! Give up your wordly possessions, join the commune, protest against “them” and when that glorious day comes, drink your Kool-ade and you will be SAVED, brothers and sisters!
The only thing that has changed is that this time it’s “them” that’s preaching the message. Wake up people. You are being conned. Use logic and “Think For Your Self.”
Some things are worth fighting for, and some things are worth fighting against. Make sure you know which side you are on!
