The PM seems to thrive on emergencies of one sort or another.
The latest is her “Climate Emergency Declaration” which is pushing the boundaries of credibility.
Greta Thunberg should be delighted, as COVID has been stealing her thunder lately and hogging the spotlight. Poor wee thing. Good job she found a COVID-friendly role to keep her occupied, thanks to CNN.
I guess with COVID essentially licked here in NZ and the vaccine on the way, Comrade Ardern has to get her “team of 5 million” lock-stepping to a new tune.
I’ve already seen much eye-rolling from the informed among us, however. And then there’s this superb cartoon from The BFD that sums it up nicely:
