Is there anybody in there?
by Martin Harris
Is this all that I am? Is there nothing more? Is life a brief physical experience, or is there an “eternity” in which our soul, our spirit, lives on?
What exactly is a soul, anyway? Does such a thing even exist? There is a growing movement to encourage the belief that individual life is temporary, fleeting. That religion is nonsense and primitive superstition, and that as there is no God, so there is no soul. Could it be that someone is attempting to create a new materialist religion that bases itself on the premise that our “real” gods are flesh and blood beings?
Three great franchises of the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres; Star Wars, Star Trek, and The Lord Of The Rings have all addressed the mortality vs. immortality topic and the question of an afterlife: Higher planes of existence, other “realms” and transcendence of consciousness.
One of the aforementioned, Star Trek, even went so far as to suggest a machine might achieve consciousness and may “join” with a human to create a new life form: Transhumanism.
Is there anybody out there?
A New World Order is upon us, but who will rule over us? will our masters be human, alien, or supernatural?
Have extra-terrestrials been here all along, watching us? Perhaps, as has been theorized for many years, they created us or “engineered” us by meddling with our genes? Do they continue to monitor us, abduct us and take samples of our DNA, implanting us and tracking us? Perhaps our governments know the truth and are about to disclose the truth? Could they be preparing us for the return of our creators?
Or perhaps we are being deluded, conditioned to accept false gods in order to instigate a new global religion?
2012 came and went with little fuss. As did many previous ends-of-the world-as-we-know it. Will 2025 (end of the Kali Yuga) and 2030 (UN 2030 Agenda) also be fizzers, or is something world-changing truly afoot?
These are issues Part Three will explore. And a strange journey it will be, I guarantee you.
Part one and two:
