Is this why India has become the new “ground zero” for COVID media hype?

It started a few weeks back as a local (NZ) thing: A sudden spike in positive COVID cases in Managed Isolation, all reportedly form India, resulting in a controversial border closure between New Zealand and India.
Suddenly, like someone flipped a switch, India became the world media focus for a COVID catastrophe. Suspiciously, many of the more dramatic images correlated with footage from prior catastrophes (a major gas incident among other things):

I wonder if the oxygen tanks are old footage too. An old woman sitting on the road next to an oxygen tank was from a report by India Times published on April 7, 2018. The report is credited to ANI. According to the report, the woman was waiting for an ambulance within the premises of Agra Medical College. An oxygen mask was put on her while her son carried the oxygen cylinder on his shoulder.

Alt News had earlier debunked an image of a man carrying an oxygen cylinder and his COVID positive mother on a motorcycle. The image was from Bangladesh.
Footage of dead Indian people in the streets was from 11 months ago when a gas leak at an LG plant put hundreds in hospital.

Suddenly, in the midst of India’s COVID crisis, China comes to the rescue via the WHO. The cognisent will recall that WHO head Tedros is China’s puppet, bought and paid for and ever subordinate to Xi. One Chinese vaccine has received “emergency approval”, more are waiting in the wings.

The price, of course, is kowtowing to China. It used to be called Panda Diplomacy. It surfaced immediately after the Christchurch mosque shooting with the Chinese business community donating a $2 Million “gift”, which to the NZ Muslim community’s credit, they declined (the Uighur situation in Xinjiang being a major issue).
It’s the way the CCP does business and “tames” the world. “We give you a panda; money; assistance; vaccines, whatever you need or want, and all we ask is that you bow down to us.” It is the way the CCP fixes problems. Then, so, at such a time, we use an appropriate way to express some goodwill. This is my personal understanding based on my limited professional background. If we understand this matter from the perspective of the international political economy, I think there is a tactical and political value in it.
