The government’s Three Waters water-grab (typical Communist asset-seizure) which takes control of water supply from ratepaying local control (via regional councils) and into direct control of “Big Sister” was open for Submissions until the beginning of March. Thing is, most of the general populace never heard about it until well after that date.

Even despite a window for submissions, the wording of the document in this link:
Taumata Arowai Establishment Unit – dia.govt.nz
…makes it VERY clear that the deal was done. Here’s the relevant passages with my bold emphasis:
” in September 2019, the New Zealand government agreed [with itself presumably MH] to create a new water services regulator to administer and enforce the new drinking water regulatory system,…
“When the Water Services Bill is passed, expected to be in the second half of 2021, Taumata Arowai takes over as the regulator of drinking water. Until then, the Ministry of Health remains the regulator of drinking water.
When Taumata Arowai is fully functionally, in essence its role will be to:
- oversee and administer an expanded and strengthened drinking-water regulatory system, to ensure all New Zealand communities have access to safe drinking water. That includes holding suppliers to account, if need be. See: For water suppliers (Taumata Arowai website)
- oversee from a national perspective the environmental performance of waste water and storm water networks. (Regional councils will remain the primary regulators of waste water and storm water).”
Note that this Establishment document was composed BEFORE submissions closed.
*Note for Christchurch residents: This spells the end of your hard-fought Fluoride Free water status.
This is the Delphi Technique at work and is blatant Totalitarianism devoid of any hint of regard for public opinion, input, or the Democratic Process.
