In astronomical terms, two million miles really isn’t much. A few hours here or there is the difference between “close shave” and “that’s all folks” when things are whizzing around the Solar System at tens of thousands of miles per hour!

When the paths of Earth and asteroid pass that close, it makes COVID and Climate Change seem rather insignificant. Yes, that blue line is us and yes the dots are practically merging at this scale.
