Is this what PCR tests are really all about? DNA collection for a profiled bioweapon?

Martin comments:
Did you notice the one thing they dodged with regards DNA collection in the video above? The largest DNA collecting exercise in human history surely? PCR testing for the pandemic.
Here in NZ hordes of terrified people queued for hours, week after week, day after day, to avail themselves of a nasal swab to either ease their fears or confirm their infection.
In case you didn’t know, PCR tests were developed specifically for DNA collection. They were “adopted” for detecting the SARS CoV-2 coronavirus. Any guesses who owns the DNA?
Here’s a repost of an article from our archives:
Back in 2017, we posted an item highlighting the CCP’s collecting of biometric data, including DNA samples, of citizens in Xinjiang, as usual these “guinea pigs” were Uighur Muslims.

Three years later, and the DNA collecting ramped up:
They have swept across the country since late 2017 to collect enough samples to build a vast DNA database, according to a new study published on Wednesday by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, a research organisation, based on documents also reviewed by The New York Times. With this database, authorities would be able to track down a man’s male relatives using only that man’s blood, saliva or other genetic material.
A US company, Thermo Fisher, is helping: The Massachusetts company has sold testing kits to Chinese police tailored to their specifications. American lawmakers have criticized Thermo Fisher for selling equipment to Chinese authorities, but the company has defended its business.
The project is a major escalation of China’s efforts to use genetics to control its people, which had been focused on tracking ethnic minorities and other, more targeted groups. It would add to a growing, sophisticated surveillance net that the police are deploying across the country, one that increasingly includes advanced cameras, facial recognition systems and artificial intelligence.
The police say they need the database to catch criminals and that donors consent to handing over their DNA. Some officials within China, as well as human rights groups outside its borders, warn that a national DNA database could invade privacy and tempt officials to punish the relatives of dissidents and activists. Rights activists argue that the collection is being done without consent because citizens living in an authoritarian state have virtually no right to refuse. NYT June 2020
That was mid 2020, just as the COVID pandemic was getting into full swing.
Many have suspected that there was more to COVID testing than just confirming whether or not one has SARS CoV-2 (indeed the efficiency of the test for this purpose is questionable at best).
By August 2020, Reuters was already raising alarm bells about the hidden agenda behind the COVID testing, and now we have a name, BGI Group, China’s contribution to Big Pharma:
BGI Group, described in one 2015 study as “Goliath” in the fast-growing field of genomics research, is using an opening created by the pandemic to expand its footprint globally. In the past six months, it says it has sold 35 million rapid COVID-19 testing kits to 180 countries and built 58 labs in 18 countries. Some of the equipment has been donated by BGI’s philanthropic arm, promoted by China’s embassies in an extension of China’s virus diplomacy.
But as well as test kits, the company is distributing gene-sequencing technology that U.S. security officials say could threaten national security. This is a sensitive area globally. Sequencers are used to analyse genetic material, and can unlock powerful personal information.Special Report: COVID opens new doors for China’s gene giant | Reuters
As Chris Chappell of America Uncensored and China Uncensored YouTube channels explains, these suspicions are well founded.
