IIIIT’S GROUNDHOG DAY!! And yes, Donald Trump’s going to be arrested…and no this isn’t an April Fool…

It started off with something serious. Russian collusion. Not only did that one fail, but it looks more like the Biden clan are in Russia up to their eyeballs, so the less said the better for the Dem brigade.
Then we got the tax thing. Nope, that one turned out to a fizzer. Several attempts later it still failed to eventuate into Trump behind bars.
And of course, we came to Jan 6, 2020, and that was the Big One. Except it wasn’t. And time has not been kind to the insurrection narrative.
And so we come to the latest iteration of Groundhog Day. And as usual, Donald Trump seems uncannily one step ahead of the game. A couple of weeks back he predicted his arrest, exactly one week early.
And having exhausted all major and serious avenues, they’ve reached way back into the past to dredge up Stormy Daniels and the hush-money allegations. Wow, really major stuff, forgive my sarcasm.
And what difference will this make? Even were Trump convicted, the Constitution allows him to run for president. The constitution even allows him to actually run the country from behind bars! Wouldn’t that be a thing for the history books!

Trump will have more social media outlets to get his message across after YouTube became the latest platform to reinstate him on Friday. Trump was cut off from YouTube, Facebook and Twitter following the Jan. 6, 2021, attack by his supporters on the U.S. Capitol. He has now been reinstated on all three, giving him a powerful megaphone to rally his base, as he did effectively during his 2016 White House run.
(Now, you have to ask; how come his former adversaries have now reinstated him? Why give him a wider platform? More signs of a planned Right-Wing-Swing?)
No matter what they throw at Trump, it keeps the spotlight pointed directly at him. Its publicity and more publicity.
Trump’s one step ahead, even when it appears otherwise, and always grabbing the headlines. Meanwhile his opponents are stuck in Groundhog day.
(I’m beginning to wonder if the “time machine” rumors are true. We’ll be visiting that subject soon.)
