Deja Vu as the Port Hills look like a scene from Dante’s Inferno at night and a wreath of dense smoke during the day.

Seven years to the day. same location and reports relayed by resident witnesses that the fire appeared to have three primary ignition points/locations. EXACTLY as per February 14 2017.
Now the rationalist in me wants to say that this could be a repeat arsonist hit or a copycat. But I remember the claims, not dissimilar to those later made regarding the recent Hawaii fires, that directed energy weapons were involved.
So it enters my mind that this could be repeat fire displaying the technical ability to target the same location repeatedly…or to send a message. many of you will find this far fetched. Nevertheless, there is technically no reason why this could not be so.
Thankfully there have been no casualties, but from where I’m sitting right now, and even more so from the CBD where I was about an hour ago at the time of writing, the fire is large and uncomfortably close.
Another hint: There is a fire also raging at Weedons/Robinson’s road, reported to have been contained as of 10am today. A location notorious for spontaneous fires and an inordinate number of car crashes and just happens to be the location of a US Navy communications antenna array that has been implicated in the triggering of the Christchurch earthquakes of 2010-2011. Whatever the cause of these fires, I say its highly unlikely to a coincidence of timing, but surely deliberate. Whether arsonists of the mundane variety or something on a larger scale is up to the reader to establish pending emergent details.
We’ll keep you informed.
