The book burnings during Hitler’s reign are frequently mentioned, but never WHAT they banned or WHY,
it’s time to delve deeper into the subject. They’re never discussed in detail, only a quick mention in history books as if it was a huge evil during the National Socialist reign. But was it so bad? Let’s find out the truth.

This video is NON-POLITICAL, obviously, I have an opinion like everyone does, but I did try to simply present the facts as they are here without inserting my own opinion, if it didn’t come off that way, I apologize but I did try to state the fact several times. I understand why this is a sensitive topic, as is anything relating to the period.
Martin comments: I don’t condone burning any books regardless of whether I agree with their content or not. As with all forms of censorship, I prefer regulation and restriction where applicable (for instance, pornographic content isn’t suitable in a school library, take note liberals and wokesters).
As for book burning in history, it isn’t just the Nazis that did it. For context, The Great Library of Alexandria was burned several times by successive invaders with immense loss to history. The Caliph Al Mamum is reported to have said something along the lines of “Either these books are in accordance with the Koran, or they are not. If they are not then let them be burned. If they are, then the Koran alone suffices. Therefore, they should burn”.
In our modern day, books are being “burned” by being quietly removed from our libraries, and in the digital realm, many works quietly fall off the edge of the map.
Nothing really changes does it?
