I heard the news. I’m sure the whole world has heard it. Suddenly the spotlight is off Biden’s mental state and on the failed assassination attempt on Trump.

It was a quiet Sunday. A bit cold and damp outside so I switched on the radio and sat down to do some sewing. yes, sewing. Not really a garage day so vintage cars are off the menu and vintage clothing is the pastime of choice.
Then the Beatles sang “I heard the news today, oh boy…” on the radio, and then along came the news bulletin. Trump was seen to clutch his neck and get swarmed by Secret Service suits at a Penn. rally. I paused my reverse-stich and my head dropped. Oh boy. If he dies, the shit really hits the fan.
Details trickled out through the day. Thank the Good Lord he’s still alive. Regardless of whether you love Trump or loathe him, now would be a very, very bad time. Not that any time is a good time to kill the likely next president of the US but imagine the chaos.
One could not help but think, though, that whether by accident or design, this certainly has shifted the focus. And rather extraordinarily, New Zealand’s MSM, usually so blatantly anti-Trump, appeared to show sympathy.
I am sure someone will suggest that this was a false flag, that it was staged. I doubt it personally. Yet I would not blame anyone for thinking along such lines.
Logan Church writing for NZ’s One News comments:
These events are heavily fortified. I recently went to a Trump rally in the same state as Trump’s rally today. To get into the arena you had to pass though layers of airport-level security run by the Secret Service.
When Trump appeared on stage at that rally, the floor around him was surrounded by armed police and Secret Service agents. In the days leading up to the rally the venue would have been swept for explosives or anything that could pose a risk to the former president.
Whatever the investigation into today’s shooting unearths, Trump’s shooting will go down as one of the biggest Secret Service failures in modern history.

I repeat, I wouldn’t blame anyone for suggesting it was a false flag...or perhaps real but allowed to happen. A setup like Jan 6 was a setup?
Further speculating is pointless at this time. No doubt there’ll be plenty to unpack soon enough.
Meanwhile here’s some vids on the subject.
And tonight’s item WAS going to be about Barron Trump before this happened. Another time. There are days when I’d gladly walk away from all this. I have a double-breasted waistcoat to sew. Sewing is so therapeutic…
