Man runs at motorcade carrying Pope and Moroccan king, Carrying a Letter!

Besides the main thrust of the story (the running man) there is something to highlight here that ties in with the headline-grabbing events here in Christchurch, NZ. Doesn’t take a genius to figure this out:

It is unclear what happened after he broke through security barriers and ran towards King Mohammed waving an envelope.

Pope Francis was in the country at the beginning of a 27-hour visit to boost ties between Christians and Muslims.

The man who approached the motorcade appeared to be waving an envelope and heading towards the vehicle carrying the king.

The king, who was waving at the crowd from his open-air car, did not seem to notice the incident. The Pope was in a different vehicle on the other side of the road.

It was unclear what happened to the running man afterwards.

As well as boosting ties between the two religions, the Pope also expressed support for Morocco’s growing migrant community during the weekend visit.
