They came to Christchurch to escape terror in the Middle East, but terror found them where they least expected it. But it seems we can not give them time to grieve their loss, nor the decency to consult them. Instead their tragedy, which has affected all in Christchurch, is being used push political agendas.

PLEASE READ: Before we proceed further, the author wishes to repeat what I have expressed many times before: I support, encourage and celebrate religious, cultural and ideological diversity and the freedom to make informed choices. If one believes in a God, then God exists and such belief is a very personal and subjective matter. On the other hand, I oppose extremism, which is an attack on freedom and diversity, and Globalist genericism (the agenda to eradicate all religions and cultural variation, usually by underhanded “stealthy” means). I hope this is crystal clear?
While it is certain that a massive outpouring of love and sympathy has resulted from the horrific terrorist attack on two mosques here in Christchurch two months ago, there are three particular stories that highlight a sad aspect of the aftermath:
The name change of the Canterbury Rugby Team.
The name “Crusaders” is to be dropped, ostensibly out of respect for the sensibilities of the local Muslim community. The Muslims were not consulted. When community representatives were approached, they expressed discomfort about any involvement. Unofficial public polls have been overwhelmingly opposed to the name change.
A movie dramatization of the events.
A movie is about to commence filming based on the Al-Noor Mosque attack. The Muslim community were not consulted on this project, and oppose it based on timing (too raw) and a fear that the portrayal will be “Hollywood-ised”. https://www.facebook.com/MacNewZealand/posts/1343695755799744
Controversy over charity funds.
Millions of dollars have been raised in charitable donations for the victims. Discontent is growing over the way these funds are being allocated and withheld. Once again, the Muslim community have not been consulted despite claims to the contrary by the fund manager.
A lack of consultation has caused anxiety and added to the trauma victims are experiencing after the March 15 attack.
A fourth component is the agenda, riding on the coat-tails of the Crusaders name change, is to actually change the name of Christchurch in order to remove the Christian aspect of the name. This one is pushed in a particularly underhanded manner. The manufactured name
Ōtautahi (based on an abbreviated version of Te Whenua o Te Potiki-Tautahi, a small settlement near to current day Chch) was quietly tagged onto the city’s colonial name, both in council communications and certain media publications. First behind Christchurch, (Christchurch-
Ōtautahi) then as the primary name (Ōtautahi-Christchurch) and in some instances as a stand-alone name. At no time has there been any official announcement of this, and there has been no public consultation on the matter. (A more appropriate name change would be the Waitaha name
“Puari”)
Clearly, some organization is at work that has no regard for Democratic process. Probably the same “hidden hand” that was behind John Key’s persistent but failed attempts to have the NZ flag changed, thus removing it’s colonial references.
So we have simultaneously an effort to diminish Christian and European Colonial reference, even going so far as to push a very negative picture of the European influence on NZ/Aotearoa throughout history, (which has as many positives as negatives) and a simultaneous promotion of Islam. This is NOT coming from the Muslim community!
Personally, this author thinks the manner in which the tragedy that has been inflicted upon the Muslim community of Christchurch is being utilized to push a political and ideological agenda is disgusting. Someone is using the graves of the victims of terror as a platform for the dissemination of propaganda and the implementation of censorship and restriction without respect, regard, or compassion. Even before the victims were buried and with the survivors and the Christchurch population as a whole still in shock, the political opportunists were hard at work. The situation with the funds, so generously raised through charitable donation, is particularly rotten. As if the grief and predicament of those who have lost family members weren’t enough (and I recognize that no amount of money can make up for the loss of human life) these poor people are reduced to begging for their fair share of the money. This money can not resurrect the dead, but it can help in a practical sense, especially where the deceased was primary provider for their family. It seems the Marxist doctrine “each according to their need” isn’t being practiced here.
Much of this censorship and restriction revolves around “online hate speech”, the definition of which is grossly and unacceptably vague and nebulous.
This author believes excessive censorship only pushes extremist and hateful narratives, and the individuals and groups that promote them, deeper underground where they fester and grow stronger in the shadows. An analogy can be drawn with the fictional villian Sauron in Tolkien’s Middle Earth: Expelled to Mordor “where the shadows lie” and forgotten, he grew even stronger and emerged to overwhelm the forces of goodness. Perhaps the Socialist Movement should study Tolkien alongside Marx? As well intentioned as the online censorship effort might be (at least at the public level), history has demonstrated repeatedly that exposure of evil and combatting it’s influence openly with logic, reason and compassion works, and heavy-handed censorship and the strangling of free expression and thought does not. Especially when that censorship displays blatant bias.
Clearly, this agenda has nothing to do with the inclusivity and love that has been displayed by the general populace and evidenced by the ocean of flowers that has generated so much media focus around the world. As with the aftermath of the earthquakes, the people of Christchurch have shown their generosity of spirit; their heart, and this is an example to the world.
Well before the Christchurch mosque terror attacks and the compassionate response, Professor Jordan Peterson, whose work was ironically criticized and censored in response to the tragedy, summed up the question of Islam’s growth and spread into a previously Christian-dominated West thus:
I hope, that people of good will, can build a bridge between the two cultures, because the future is otherwise too gloomy to contemplate.
Jordan Peterson, 2018 Lafayette Q&A
Peterson could easily have been speaking of the people of Christchurch.
He has also pinpointed at least a part of the motive behind the Socialist overt promotion of Islam, but why suppress Christianity? Socialist commentators have pointed out many times the parallels between the teachings and actions of Jesus and the Socialist ideology. So this aspect is about something else.
I suspect the dark side of both Socialism and Capitalism are at work, in the form of greed and control: The concentration of power and wealth into the hands of a few. So who’s behind this? Let’s find out.
I think it boils down, ultimately, to a simple numbers game.
At this point a quick explanation is due about what I mean by the “dark side” of Socialism and Capitalism. Socialism boils down to two basic forms: Bottom-up (as per Marxism), and top-down (as per Stalin, Mao etc.). While the Marxist form has simply failed to meet it’s utopian ideals (well intentioned but inherently flawed), the latter format has been demonstrated repeatedly to lead to poverty and misery for millions while power concentrates into the hands of a few. If this sounds familiar, it is because the same thing happens when Capitalism fails to address corruption. I will address this topic in much greater detail later (the blog is underway!).
So, the numbers game? The first “number” relates to people.
A number of studies have been made showing a variety of scenarios on peak world population. Anything from an 8 billion peak in 2040 followed by decline, to a continued growth into the tens of billions well into the future. The UN takes a fairly moderate line in it’s projections. But whatever the case, one thing remains clear: The Faith of Islam is the fastest growing religion regardless of what the peak population may be, and due to displacement of Middle Eastern Muslims from their troubled homelands, it is set to eclipse all faiths except Christianity, which it will nevertheless rival and come into increasing co-existence with:
The religious profile of the world is rapidly changing, driven primarily by differences in fertility rates and the size of youth populations among the world’s major religions, as well as by people switching faiths. Over the next four decades, Christians will remain the largest religious group, but Islam will grow faster than any other major religion. If current trends continue, by 2050 …
CITATION: Pew Research Center, April 2, 2015, “The Future of World Religions: Population Growth Projections, 2010-2050
§ The number of Muslims will nearly equal the number of Christians around the world.
§ Atheists, agnostics and other people who do not affiliate with any religion – though increasing in countries such as the United States and France – will make up a declining share of the world’s total population.
§ The global Buddhist population will be about the same size it was in 2010, while the Hindu and Jewish populations will be larger than they are today.
§ In Europe, Muslims will make up 10% of the overall population.
§ India will retain a Hindu majority but also will have the largest Muslim population of any country in the world, surpassing Indonesia.
§ In the United States, Christians will decline from more than three-quarters of the population in 2010 to two-thirds in 2050, and Judaism will no longer be the largest non-Christian religion. Muslims will be more numerous in the U.S. than people who identify as Jewish on the basis of religion.
§ Four out of every 10 Christians in the world will live in sub-Saharan Africa.
These are among the global religious trends highlighted in new demographic projections by the Pew Research Center. The projections take into account the current size and geographic distribution of the world’s major religions, age differences, fertility and mortality rates, international migration and patterns in conversion.
There are two possibilities therefore: Either these two giants of religion will learn to co-exist and exhibit mutual respect, or they will clash. To re-emphasise Peterson’s comment quoted earlier: Build bridges or a “gloomy” future faces us. That’s an understatement!
Ultimately of course the UN agenda is to merge all religions into one, which requires moderation, the suppression of extremism, and bringing them into line with the “inclusivity” narrative.

So let’s narrow our focus back to Christchurch. In the working population, the most obvious way in which bottom-up Socialism presents itself is through the Trade Unions. With an increasingly Muslim workforce, it pays the Unions, both literally and figuratively, to keep them happy. Trade Unions work by subscription. each subscribed worker gives an equal fee regardless of how much pay they get, so the greater number of workers in the pool, the more money is available as well as the more “people power”. Unions do not benefit from a few members working longer hours, but the opposite. A large migrant workforce settling in is music to Trade Unionist ears, and by 2050, Christianity is no longer expected to be the majority religion in New Zealand as a whole. (refer Pew report).
And yet, while the facilitation and promotion of Muslim immigrants makes social and economic sense, the apparent suppression, even demonization, of Christianity seems illogical, even from a UN 2030 point of view (the aim being to unite all religions not favour one over another). Christianity, according to all predictions, will still be around and significant for the foreseeable future. Surely the promotion of mutual respect and tolerance (weeding out extremism) makes more sense? It is certainly NOT the Muslims pushing any of this. To the contrary, Muslim community are being exploited themselves, but to their credit, they do appear to be wise to this and I certainly hope they continue to pro-actively push back. To repeat; it appears something else is at work here. A hidden agenda.
Someone is manipulating both religion and politics from behind the scenes on many fronts. Someone with a chip on their shoulder about Christianity as a component of European Colonialism.”Follow the money”:
So,the second part of the numbers game relates to dollars.
A massive donation for Christchurch shooting victims, raised by international associates of controversial businessman Zhang Yikun, should be returned, an Islamic group says. Yikun, who was embroiled in the Jami Lee-Ross donations scandal, pledged $2.1 million at a function of Teochew delegates in Auckland. Auckland Mayor Phil Goff accepted an initial $500,000 cheque from the delegates at the event, and was asked to pass the money onto the Muslim community in Christchurch. The amount later grew as delegates from other countries gifted money. The Khadija Leadership Network is calling for the donation to be returned, and instead be channelled into helping the persecuted Uighur people in China.
The Muslim community certainly seems to be following the money: My respect to them for recognizing and avoiding the trap. Top-down Socialism, Capitalist corruption? Call it what you like. Either way it’s the New World Order. What a shame our government took the bait instead of following the example of those they claim to be helping.
According to a tweet by University of Canterbury professor Anne-Marie Brady, Mr Zhang is “a leader” in Chinese Communist Party (CPP) United Front work activities. The United Front is a Chinese Government group aiming to promote the policies and ideals of the CPP.

John Key’s secret flag donor luncheon:
…a little more than $100,000 was raised for the entire Change the Flag campaign – some from the Chinese donors, who wanted the Union Jack gone from the New Zealand ensign. “We talked about the treaties the British signed with the Chinese, the Boxer Rebellion, all those sort of points of Chinese history. It’s interesting because that sort of thing still comes out. Obviously, the colonisation of Hong Kong.

China’s communists fund Jacinda Ardern’s Labour Party: What the United States Congress was told:
An influential United States Congress hearing has been told “one of the major fundraisers for Jacinda Ardern’s party” is linked to the Chinese Communist Party and it showed China had penetrated New Zealand’s political networks. As a result, US lawmakers needed to consider whether New Zealand should be kicked out of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance because of problems at its “political core”. The bombshell testimony included claims from a former Central Intelligence Agency analyst that “anything on China that was briefed to Bill English was briefed to Mr Yang Jian”, the National MP revealed last year as having trained spies for China.

China’s Treatment of Uighur Muslims Is Cultural Genocide
“When individuals are detained for being visibly Muslim, wearing a headscarf or for saying their five daily prayers, it becomes apparent that this is not about “re-education” or tackling extremism, but rather an attempt to strip Uighur Muslims of their identity, of their religion and of what they stand for — a cultural genocide.”
