Despite bleating about a “climate emergency”, the UN has failed to put it’s money where it’s mouth is. $4.1 million dollars isn’t going to save the world!

In the endless series of “indoctrination” movies Hollywood pumps out, everything from hostile extra-terrestrials to asteroids to Mayan prophecies threatens the world with imminent annihilation. The nations of the earth forget their differences and become a Socialist-Globalist entity . Bruce Willis is given high-tech space vehicles and freedom from taxation for the rest of his life in order to save the planet, and the US clubs together with China to build a super-ark to escape a mega flood.
Yes, in Hollywood there’s an unlimited budget and no one questions the narrative. But when the United Nations try to present Hollywood fiction as fact, folk are only going to be fooled for so long.
The reality is that the UN appears to be struggling both in credibility and in cashflow.
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) received a budget of $41.8 million in 2018-2019, of which $31.8 million went on staffing and running costs, with only $4.1 million eventually reaching actual environmental projects.
And isn’t it funny how the rhetoric has been ramped-up just as the UN announces it’s running out of cash:
“Alarmist language works” in some cases, but when it’s used to excess for effect people inevitably become resentful and angry about the lies and manipulation.
“Like Aesop’s fable of the Boy Who Cried Wolf, climate alarmists may wake up one fine day to find that nobody believes them anymore.”

We’re talking about saving the Earth on a budget that wouldn’t even pay a decent actor’s salary (which might explain why the UN’s “best actor” is teenage girl with a flair for melodrama). And saving it from a peril that is questionable and seriously overstated.
UN chief António Guterres warned the organisation was facing the worst cash crisis in nearly a decade and runs the risk of not being able to pay staff and suppliers.
Of the permanent members of the UN security council, only the USA has failed to pay. US President Donald Trump has often complained about the amount the US contributes towards the UN budget, with the country recently paying around 22% of the operating budget, and 28% of the peacekeeping budget.
A UN spokesperson said 129 of the 193 states have now paid their annual fees, but the rest need to pay “urgently and in full”. “This is the only way to avoid a default that could risk disrupting operations globally.”

Perhaps most nations feel disinclined to pay their bills to an outfit with little credibility.
On the other hand, the NZ Climate Science Coalition seems to have plenty of money. A whopping ten grand (woooo!!) to give to anyone (get this) who can give a pitiful shred of actual scientific evidence to prove that “the man-made fraction of airborne carbon dioxide causes dangerous global warming.” (Hang on, I thought it was already “proven beyond doubt?” Getting desperate aren’t they?)
