Another failed 2030 Agenda “Green” initiative house-of-cards topples. A valuable lesson that few will likely learn from, sadly. For those willing to learn, I have a solution.

I fell over laughing when I heard this on the radio a few days ago From Radio New Zealand:

‘Sparrows chased away a falcon’ – Sanctuary prepares to unleash rats to stop pest birds

A Waikato wetland sanctuary is reintroducing rats to try to drive out birds fouling a prized lake.
The move is a last resort to try to scare off half a million sparrows and starlings that have found a safe spot to roost overnight around pest-free Lake Rotopiko.
They defecate so much they are changing the ecosystem and endangering the water quality.
Karen Denyer of the National Wetland Trust said 30 rats had been released to try to deter the birds.
If the birds shift where they sleep at night to outside the predator-free fence instead of inside, then they will poison the rats.
“It’s quite a drastic approach,” Denyer said.
“But we know we can get rid of the rats again – we’ve done it before.
“We want to see if this makes a difference. And if it does, maybe every so often we can put some rats in for a month or so.”
Other anti-bird measures such as spraying an irritant in the air – “pepper spray”, Denyer called it – have not worked.
A new science journal article out today that Denyer co-authored said “roosting exotic birds could potentially evolve as a major challenge for New Zealand as more sites become free of mammalian predators”…Continues: ‘Sparrows chased away a falcon’ – Sanctuary prepares to unleash rats to stop pest birds | RNZ News
Martin comments: “”But we know we can get rid of the rats again – we’ve done it before.“
And around and around we go. Sounds like a 1080 gravy train does it not?
OR…here’s a novel idea…why not LET NATURE RUN ITS COURSE. Recently there was another agenda being pushed by MSM to eradicate or severely restrict your pet felines. But here’s the thing. For every bird your cat catches, it also kills a dozen rodents. I know (as a cat person living next to a swamp and the earthquake “red zone”) that on the one occasion we were cat-less for a few months, our home became infested with mice. Even traps in every room didn’t stop the invasion. Got cats again, the mice vanished. Best predator control ever. Stop trying to wrap New Zealand in a bubble and let nature do its thing. Before literally end up in a dome like Logan’s Run.
