88. A while back I did a brief item on an apparent code I discovered inadvertently while doing an online search for updates on the Ukraine situation. Its still being used. But what are they signaling?
Remember the movie Back to the Future? The Delorean time machine hit 88mph in order to activate the time travel device onboard.
The number crops up all over the place, sometimes in relation to Trump, but most intriguingly in relation to Ukraine.
Here’s my original article:

And how about a Ukrainian military brigade that does not actually exist?!
The Bizarre Case Of Two Fake Ukrainian Brigades
88th mechanized brigade (Wikipedia entry)
In March 2023, the brigade was first mentioned in an official source when the Varash District State Administration reported that the 88th Mechanized Brigade, along with the 13th Jager Brigade, had joined Tactical Group Volyn, bolstering Ukrainian defenses near the Belarusian border.[citation needed]
The formation of these two brigades quickly raised suspicion, as their unit numbers did not align with standard Ukrainian military numbering conventions. Moreover, no volunteers ever requested donations for them, nor were there reports of missing relatives from their ranks or any publicly available information regarding their military unit number. The 88th Brigade, in particular, dismissed fundraising for the brigade as fraudulent and stated on their Facebook page that they’re fully equipped with necessary ammunition, making it the first Ukrainian Army unit to claim complete provisioning.[citation needed]
…which makes this the clearest sign yet that someone is making things up in order to include a code.

88
Origin:
“88” is a numerical code for the Nazi salute “Heil Hitler!” — referencing the fact that the letter “H” is the eighth letter in the Latin alphabet.
Use as a hate symbol:
Far Right groups in various countries use it widely to demonstrate their identification with Nazi and neo-Nazi views. It is usually used in combination with the number 14 — 14/88 in compound characters — and in the names of right-wing radical organizations.
In Ukraine, it is very commonly used to demonstrate Nazi and racist views, usually in the compounded form 14/88. 88 – Reporting Radicalism in Ukraine
Got that? 14/88. as in the headline about injuries?

I could go on. Link after link with this 88 code, seemingly related to neo-Nazism (which is rife in Ukraine). But what are they signaling? One thing is for sure, and that’s that this isn’t just a fun game.
