Plague, locusts, floods and war…Is the Chinapocalypse here?

In defiance of the edict “don’t feed the trolls”, this author takes delight in doing just that. I feed them with calm, logical argument. While they’re engaging me they’re leaving someone else alone, and it’s a great way to hone one’s argumentative skills.
My favorite trolls are the CCP stooges that infest YouTube:
These guys will generally engage in irrational argument for days on end. My last “battle” with one of these guys was on the topic of religion and it’s relevance. Naturally his opinion was that religion is “static” and “extinct” and has no relevance. I retorted that since the CCP is so terrified of the power that religion holds over people that it is actively attempting to eradicate it, then religion certainly does have relevance today, like it or not.
Then something extraordinary happened. The troll issued a weak diversionary response, and went away, even after I proclaimed victory in the argument. Normally they call in reinforcements and I end up arguing with two or three of them. He just gave up. An argument about face masks a couple of weeks ago ended the same. The guy had a hizzy-fit, admitted defeat, and walked away. Almost as if something had changed in the fighting spirit of China itself.
And now it seems as if China is indeed overwhelmed with catastrophe and chaos.
About the time the early signs emerged of virus sweeping through Wuhan and potentially becoming a pandemic, we reported here on a brewing locust plague with the potential to devastate China’s crops. With tongue in cheek I put a biblical slant on the story. Kind of hard not to draw analogies really.
Now, the locusts have arrived. So have epic floods and landslides, ominous omens in the form of fish leaping from rivers at several locations across the nation, and of course the SARS CoV-2 (COVID 19) virus coming full circle and hitting China with full force.
Two recent news items by US based, Falung-gong owned China In Focus news channel give us the full picture.
Judging by comments on YouTube, there are many, many religiously minded respondents who believe China is facing divine retribution. I’m personally inclined to think this all just a perfect storm of natural, engineered (weather mod? HAARP?) and political events. Even war is part of the emerging storm, as tensions with India heat up:
I cast my mind back further, to this apocalyptic vision (debunked as a Fata Morgana) that appeared in China’s skies. “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand”…??.
It would appear then, that religion does indeed have relevance today, and my half-hearted CCP troll may be glancing nervously at the sky and contemplating his atheist convictions.
Perhaps we should be watching out for a Project Blue Beam event impending?
