Trump’s comments about the causes of increasing crime don’t just apply to the US. Worth listening.
America has a “gun culture” that probably seems quite foreign to folks in the UK, Canada, Aussie and NZ. Personally, I’m anti gun. I’d love to them all go. But let’s get real, guns are big business, they aren’t going away. As we’re discovering here in NZ, you can ban legally obtained firearms, but you’ll still have illegal weapons smuggling to deal with and it doesn’t stop the rising crime. Are guns really the issue, or is culture the issue? Whatever you think of Donald Trump, and whether you agree with him or not, he makes a lot of sense and is WAY more lucid than his dotard opponent in the White House. Martin
