According to “Die Zeit” ( https://www.zeit.de/digital/2023-05/ai-act-eu-kuenstliche-intelligenz-open-source-chatgpt/komplettansicht ) the EU Commission regards a social credit system as an extreme dangerous AI application that should be totally forbidden — However, these are politicians, and in practice any such law would be undermined in best populistic Google/Facebook/Twitter style… At least they are openly talking about it, thus making the public and its infantile cell-phone / internet generation aware of it.
