It had to happen, and sooner rather than later. 11 years to go, and post-quake Christchurch is showing the way the future is likely to be if the UN and New World Order gangsters get their way:
Sustainable apartment plan chosen for Crown-owned Christchurch site
Homeowners could share cars and bikes and co-own energy facilities in a new non-profit housing project announced for central Christchurch.
The 150-home development is planned for the taxpayer-owned 8000 square metre demonstration village site opposite Latimer Square. The preferred developers are promising homes 10 to 20 per cent cheaper than than those from private sector…
…After seeking other proposals, Crown company Ōtākaro has now announced the Ōtautahi Urban Guild as its chosen developer. The group was formed especially for the project, and has an option to buy the land next year. ..
Ōtautahi Urban Guild spokesman James Stewart …could not reveal everything about funding arrangements, but said a “social enterprise-type” backer would help fund the land deposit. Would-be buyers would get a chance to say what they wanted built, and would contribute their owned deposits when the signed up, he said.
The development would have six or seven buildings with about 30 apartments each built with sustainable carbon neutral materials. It would be designed to encourage community living where people could “bump into each other” and be sociable, he said.
Residents would share a community-owned solar facilities, an embedded energy network, and bike and car sharing facilities…
Sharing a car!? You toucha my car I toucha your face!! (proud owner of a classic VW Beetle).
The source of this article is Fairfax Media (Australia) owned “Stuff” and also appears in The Press (same owners), who are becoming increasingly strident on the Global Warming/Climate Change/Sustainability propaganda, ensuring a “fair and balanced discussion” by banning dissenting voices (“Climate Change Deniers”) from having their say, on the grounds that “the science is done”. If by done they mean “cooked” then I agree.
Check the link and you’ll note that Fairfax has shut down all small local papers under it’s ownership.
Please read this blog I wrote a couple of years ago: All falling into place now!…and wouldn’t you love to know who the hidden backers of this housing project are?
